Our washer at home broke, and we likely won't get a new one for a couple of weeks. Have you guys ever hand washed your gi? If so, what is your process (i.e., do you have to soak it and then wash it, do you use detergent or soap, etc.)? I've never hand washed my laundry before. Thanks.

Yeah, I was thinking about that too. I could go to a coin op laundromat, but I was just wondering whether anyone had handwashed theirs.

Yeah I've been in a similar situation.
I rinsed it in the bathtub, then I put soap in , let it soak, walked on it a bit, rinsed again, and dried it in the sun.

What kind of soap? Don't use detergent?

It's easy to wash in the bathtub. It's a good skill for when you travel and don't have a washing machine at your hotel.

1. Bathtub stopper in
2. Put detergent in bathtub
3. Fill bathtub with water (temperature depends on how you normally wash it)
4. Put gi in bathtub
5. Use a plunger to agitate it, walk on it, use your hands, etc.
6. Drain the water
7. Fill tub up again with clean water
8. Plunge, walk, hands, etc.

13. Squeeze water out of your gi
14. Hang to dry

I hope you didn't use the end that goes into the toilet.
