Looking for bands like Terror and Harms Way

Here's a pretty cool site that maps similar bands.

"People who like Terror might also like these artists. The closer two names are, the greater the probability people will like both artists. Click on any name to travel along."

I'm not really familiar with the newer hardcore bands. I have been a fan of the old school bands since the mid-1990's though.

Yeah, when I hear the term Hardcore I usually think 80's punk.

What we call Hardcore now sounds nothing like the Bad Brains and the like. It's more a Metalcore but I need something fresh.

I listened to a few songs by harms way just to figure out what you mean by "Hardcore"

My immediate categorization thought of them was metalcore without skill lol.

Some beat down is fun, but hardcore is basically dead

Man I came here for porn and is all about the devils music and shit
<{cruzshake}>

Hardcore always comes back to AF for me.

My first exposure to this genre was when I moved back to Houston in 2002. I was into metal pretty hard back then, Hatebreed was a new band at the time that was really on the rise. I went to a tiny nightclub to see them with Six Feet Under, who was one of my favorite "Death Metal" bands at the time. The whole show was bat shit crazy. A local band called Will To Live opened the show and really killed it, they are the GOAT Hardcore band from Houston but they never really had much success outside of H-Town(they got old around the time they started to breakthrough).

The second band that played that night was a really great hardcore band called Death Threat. They tore the house down. They have some great stuff that I would recommend.

That same night was the first time I seen Shadows Fall, young and hungry 2002 Shadows Fall they totally stole the show that night. The whole crowd was dead for Six Feet Under, I couldn't believe it, Hardcore kids don't like any other subgenre apparently. Hatebreed closed the show with a great set. Really fun concert, one of the favorites I've ever been to. Craziest crowd ever.

After that concert I really got into hardcore and I still like it a lot. Madball, Earth Crisis, Minor Threat, great stuff.

I can't claim to be an expert on hardcore, but what about Glassjaw?

In Cold Blood
S.O.D.
Agnostic Front
Sick of it All
Murphy's Law

I saw Agnostic Front twice in the 90's (in their prime), Sick of it all twice (once in the 90's, once in the early 2000's), and I saw Murphy's Law open up for the Misfits in the early 2000's. I was stoked for all of those shows. Those were the days. I don't have the enthusiasm for any of the newer bands.

Me either. Never mind all the fucking geeks on their cell phones sucking the intensity out of the experience

I dove off stage at a SOIA show about 15 years back
