Post of the week imo.
Thats interesting, he is a fucking lunatic because maybe he should rewatch his fights with Story and Maia in particular, easily 1 weight class difference in size, after you saying that I am starting to think he is hands down the best fighter in the UFC and could easily make FW, if this guy was fighting in his weight class he would be unstoppable im telling ya.
Mike is basically Rick Story 2.0 but younger and fresher. There's no way Gunni can put a choke on Platinum so it comes down to the striking, and Nelson goes into a shell in those type of fights. If it was a 3 round fight I'd bet on Mike to win 2-1 UD but in a 5 rounder I actually think he'd get the finish. There's only so much punishment a guy can take, and Gunnar definitely doesn't like getting hit.
Whats so funny? its a fair point?
How could you expect Gunnar to face this OJ'D up monster Woodley in a fair fight.
Come on, one guy is fair and clean the other is not simplez.
Woodley is small though dude Mike Perry (right) was making 155 and now fights at 170
Of course I could be wrong but Woodley is fucking massive, he is surely cutting the most weight in that class.
but he's only 5"9
Jacare is 6"1
Bisping is 6"1
Weidman is 6"2
Romero is 6"0
Rockhold is 6"3
Brunson is 6"1
Mousasi is 6"2
Whittaker is 6"0
Anderson is 6"2
Woodley would be a very small MW, and the only fighter his height in that MW top 10 is Kelvin Gastelum. Woodley just doesn't have the boxing required to have success at that weightclass.
I was just saying that would naturally be his weight class(and more to the point it is not where he is fighting at now), I would imagine a lot of these guys are cutting massive weight too its a vicious circle, someones height is also not the only determining factor in overall mass, especially if they are taking steroids and PEDS all their life.
Not really my man.. he was just being half nice half joking.. way to exaggerate.
Woodleys not a natural LHW. That's preposterous. Put him in the cage against somebody like Anthony Johnson or OSP and see if he's a natural LHW.
He cuts lots of weight, but that's more density than size.
My point is, if Gunnars doing well at welterweight, why should he strain his body to try and get down to 55? Its not like he's getting muscled at the weightclass he's in, plus his weightcuts are pretty smooth and easy. Sounds ideal to me.
I preferred the real destruction. it was awesome
