Shouldn't be allowed, McGregor doesn't have any title defenses at FW therefore he shouldn't be allowed to move up or down weight to fight anyone until he fights either Khabib or Ferguson...Forget what the fighters want.

Who gives a shit about belts... give ua fights the fans want... a fight between gsp and mgregor would do three times the number of a McGregor vs khabib/ferguson fight

Well this is the prevailing argument against McGregor doing anything aside from what a handful of people want.
 
GSP wins the first fight, McGregor gets immediate rematch and loses that one too...GSP is too well rounded for McPanic. Every round starts standing which is good for Conor, but GSP can handle that and once he gets his hands on Conor, the round will definitely go GSP. I don't see Conor being able to go 5 rounds with GSP. If Conor needed rounds off vs. Nate, how is he possibly going to handle GSP's unrelenting 5-round pace that combines high-output striking and grappling? McPanic might die from a heart attack...
 
I also believes this is the biggest PPV fight the UFC can make but let's see how GSP looks against Bisping. If GSP looks terrible and gets trounced, everything changes.

This will never happen. Khabib and Ferguson could win 5 more and Conor won't fight them. So much more lucrative fights to be made. GSP, Nate 3, even Aldo on redemption story line. It's just business nothing personal.

A little soon to be mentioning Khabib and title in the same sentence. He's going to be on the back burner for awhile.
