GSP is the P4P king. He is undefeated in a stacked division.

First fight with Hughes was a fluke?
Nope, that was a green GSP getting submited by an experienced Hughes.

Against Serra, again a green GSP didn't know how to react after getting rocked, he tried to punch back instead of clinching up. Against Condit when he got tagged he grabbed Carlos as soon as he could, because he knew he would get finished again if he tried to punch back.

I respect GSP immensely as a person, but as a fighter/performer, he doesn't belong in the same category as guys like Fedor/Jones/Anderson who fight to destroy their opponent. Georges is basically running the clock. Which is good for his endorsement deals and brand, not so good for me as an MMA fan.

But for the most part, GSP is dominant in his title defenses. He is so much better than any WW in the world.

And I know he loss 2 fights, but he avenged them. Still doesn't erase the fact that he loss. But what else can he do moving forward?

Does anybody think that if GSP is a better fighter then Jon Jones at this point in time?

lol @ first Hughes fight being a fluke. He was outclassed by a better fighter at the time.

GSP p4p king, no just no. wont fight up in weight. majority of his opponents are way smaller than him. and he cant finish fights.

anderson and jones are top 2

GSP just no

I haven't heard one good reason yet as to why Jon Jones should be #1 P4P over GSP

jj subs bjj black belts, outwrestles all americans, n kos strikers.

gsp does the exact opposite. keep it standing with grapplers, td stikers n cruses to a decision victory.

Georges has had more title defenses and fought tougher competition than Jon Jones so I agree with you 100%.

So shields, alves, koscheck, Fitch, hardy and 3 legit LWs Matt Serra, Sean Sherk and bj penn (20 lb weight difference between bj and gsp) count as tough completion?

Jon has fought and finished the absolute best. Who else has finished shogun, lyoto, and rampage?!? He's also put solid beatings on rashad and bonnar. His only gimme title fights were vitor and chael. Hopefully he gets a little more hespect when (if) he polishes off Gus.

What is this "Stacked" division?

Koscheck?
Fitch?
Alves?
Condit?

You call these the best wins a P4P candidate can have?

LOL

Are you seriously saying Matt Hughes' arm bar was a fluke? Haha.

Gsp's post fight face tells a different tale. He isn't really that dominant, takes a lot of damage and usually looks pretty beat post fight. He hasn't had a dominant fight since koscheck. He certainly didn't dominate condit and Diaz, condit gave him a tough fight on the feet and Diaz was actually able to stuff takedowns.

I don't get how people can claim Jon has such a huge size advantage when he makes weight no problem. He fights at 205 and weighs between 215 and 221 on fight night. Gsp fights at 170 and weighs up to 191 on fight night. Aldo, bendo, gsp, silva/weidman and jones are all large for their divisions.

Have you seen a pic of GSP less than a week after his fight ?
The cosmetic damages that come from having avery pale skin complexion are all gone .

Diaz was able to stuff some takedown due to the achille heel injury and the cold .
Diaz (the apparently oh so superior striker) was outstrike by 130 strikes . yeah GSP had lots and lots of issue vs him

Condit outstriked GSP but not on the significants striking aspect (fight was mostly on Condit side for roughly 60 seconds) .

GSP doens't weight 191 on fight night , you totally made up that number .

Hasnt' look as dominant since the KOS fight ?
Of course , he was coming back from a serious carreer threatning injury . Before that he still outstrike and outgrapple Jake Shield , doing so with 1 eye after Shield attempted to blind him on purpose .

If WW is not a stacked division , what do you consider a stacked division then ?

he's dominated an extremely stacked division for a long time, and in fact I'd argue that quality of competition he's faced is probably greater than any other current champion in the UFC (including Jones). The duration of his streak and quality of opponents puts at or near the top of the p4p discussion.

Thing is, if you're going to count his loss to Serra as a "fluke", you have to do the same for Silva's loss to Weidman, at least if Silva beats Weidman in a rematch.

Gsp is the best. His dominance is supreme. Silva has the great knockouts, but he doesn't severely injure people the same way GSP disfigured fitch, alves, koscheck...Jon Jones appears to be a fusion of the two. If he continues the way he is going, he will be the undeniable GOAT.

Machida is a legit badass win , an injured Shogun and an unmotivated getting old rampage is not as impressive as beating Kos , Alves , fitch or Condit .

He has taken more damage in his last two fights than his opponents have. So dominant.

Not to mention 6 consecutive and dominant title fight victories in 2 years, compared to gsp's 3 not so dominant decision wins. George had a good run in his day but he's slowing down and Jon is picking up a lot of steam.

Bro!

GSP like doesn't finish fights.

So in reality he's the worst fighter in the UFC.
