Got my black belt...

This past Saturday I received my black belt from my instructors Rob and Guy Pendergrass, and their instructor Gustavo Machado.

I have been training 3-4 times a week for 11.5 years. (Also had previous Judo experience)

Crazy, surreal feeling. I really don't think it's fully sunk in yet.

Anyhow, thank you to this forum for the tips and the laughs. Not as many people post here anymore but I still drop in from time to time.

I'm in the middle with the blue gi.

funny how far things have come i rememebr back n 2007-2009 all the i got my blue belt threads sherdog had like 1 brown belt back then now we have a few blacks welcome to the club!!

Out of curiosity, did you know it was happening that day, and if not, how did you react?

I've seen a few people get their black belts and a few of them just acted like it was some solemn occasion that really wasn't a big deal. My current coach jumped up and down like it was the most exciting thing that had ever happened to him. He didn't stop smiling for three days. I always appreciated that approach. lol
