Funny story, a buddy of mine got mad after I beat him at UFC 2 on Xbox live, and he challenged me to a real grappling match when we were both at the local skatepark.

I haven't trained or rolled since 2014, but I said sure let's do it. He was a good high school wrestler, a lot younger than me, and is quite a bit bigger too.

I literally just sat down when he charged at me, pulled halfguard, then armdragged and took his back and finished with a nasty rnc/throat crush in about a minute flat.

I told him afterwards I used to be a local bjj champ at blue belt level.

I literally felt high afterwards, and it made me realize how much I miss jiu jitsu.

Touch him with the jab

I would have suplexed him, put him in a camel clutch, broke his back, fucked his ass AND MADE HIM HUMBEHL

What? No elbow from the second rope? No Russian leg sweep? No sharpshooter? It's like your a different poster here in the "f12"

Pics were taken and they're now on the interwebs bro

I just thought it was a funny story I don't plan on training ever again.

Crazy how it just all of a sudden comes back to you though, like riding a bike.
Why wouldn't you ever train again?

Why wouldn't you ever train again?

I trained bjj and mma for around 8 years straight, five days a week and only made it to two stripe blue belt lol.

I actually quit due to nagging injuries and a lack of desire to train hard anymore. When I quit competing and started showing up to class late so I wouldn't have to do the drills, I knew the writing was on the wall and it was time to find a new sport.

Why not try coming back at a lower intensity?

Sounds like you fell victim to burnout. If you still enjoy rolling, the fire is still there. It's okay to train 2x a week if that works out better for you.

It's always fun and somewhat surprising how easy it is to beat a newbie when you have trained for a bit, i bet you felt like a 1990's Royce Gracie haha

dude, get back, theres no need to kill yourself 5 days a week, just go inthere roll and find the passion again, competing is not for anyone, I stopped competing when I realized it was taking the fun of it, so I said fuck it, now I compete rarely, I love teaching and I love rolling, those are my motivations to train. The day I stopped enjoying training, I probably quit, dont see that day coming though.

Brah you trained mma for 8 years and pulled guard. You should have started on your feet and wrassled him wtf? Sounds like you were mostly training bjj

And you guys rolled on concrete or grass?

Dammit Balto, he left himself opened to be shunned. A simple "fake story is fake" would have sufficed.

Kinda fun to do when you are just rolling though, put your self in what seems like a weak position and dominating.
