GOP wants to let ISPs sell your internet browsing history

I skimmed through the article and the quotes don't match the title as usual

so theres that. how is this not already being sold, we are bombarded with ads from searches now.

here lately I even get ads from shit we talk about and evidently I'm not the only one?
I ask my son if it happens to him and he said we have apps that listen for certain words. then he said what they can't figure out is how it happens on their work computers

all that being said if the article is real someone needs a shovel up their ass

It's way bad enough that credit card companies are selling ALL your personal info and posting it online and banks and credit card issuers are making it so easy for crooks. Someone needs a square kick in the balls.

I saw on the news the other day, some black congressman in front of congress was reciting fucking Notorious BIG or someone's rap lyrics. They have time to waste doing retarded shit like that, but can't be bothered to protect the public's privacy.

Someone should make all their personal info public and see how they like it. Full names, cellphone #, address, kids' info, health info, credit history, account balances.

Most businesses where you give your info sells it.
That's why I never give out my phone number at fucking haircut place, date of birth for online shit. I make up a different date of birth each place.

Republicans would sel your dead granny's pubes if some corporation could make a buck from it.

It sounds like a way of manipulating advertising and information based on buying and viewing habits.

You've got it;
all small businesses/companies, with small percentage of market share should be protesting this...
the larger companies of various products will now get to focus their massive advertising budgets toward websites visited by their consumers
-this has been done for a while but with this increased accuracy ("increased" by now having the actual browsing data) old versions of "market research" will be a secondary source on how to grow business.

The Reuters article cited the Obama rules giving Facebook an advantage in advertising because they have all your private info, but the thing is, I don't use fucking Facebook, but I use fucking internet.

I'll bet these fucking lawmakers got money from the internet providers.

Also, on CNBC, when they were talking about Snapchat, the stock expert said his kid told him she never clicks on ads. They just look at the stupid shit and move along without clicking on ads.

Before you talk to anyone even with a simple question, it's what's your name, address, email.

Our eroding Civil Liberties started with Bush, those bills got stronger under Obama, only look for them to get stronger under Trump.

Our eroding Civil Liberties started with Bush, those bills got stronger under Obama, only look for them to get stronger under Trump.

And the muppets in turn will blame the last president. "Bush is taking our rights away!" *crickets from the Cuckservatives* "Obama is taking our rights away!" *silence from the libs* "Trump is taking our rights away!" *nothing from the Trumpbots*

And so it goes on. The only reason I care about this, other than empathy for my fellow man (we're all human in the end) is that this A: Affects the global internet, and B: Quite often those idiotic rules get adopted over here in Europe.

But so many posters here display such partisan hackery, that it can be used as empirical evidence to show political loyalty to a fault.

If ISPs can choose to not do this, wouldn't that just make these other ISPs less competitive???

The best thing for America would be if everyone's porn search history was made public. Then people could stop pretending this is a Christian country.

( Flake represents a massively gerrymandered district )

Jeff Flake is a Senator, and there is no gerrymandering or districts in the Senate. Each State has two at-large senators no matter the population.
