The president "shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed," reads Article II, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution

If Trump DOES speak it's almost a guarantee he will perjure himself because he is not disciplined enough not to.

If Trump doesn't speak with Mueller he could in violation of of the above law.

Not to mention gross incompetence. I can assure you Mueller has so much dirt on Trump and family the report is going to be thousands of pages long

Not speaking for the other posters, I would point out that my statement was essentially hyperbole. It's not really abandoning a principle when it's a hypothetical about a situation over which I would literally never have any say and therefore have an easy route to a response that is more about expressing my feelings toward Trump than the actual ethics of the situation. Again, I'm not a jurist or legislator, nor a journalist so I can afford this type of opinion.

I can assure you if my post were in fact writing for a different audience, I would take no such liberty. I doubt many others ITT would either FWIW.

Edit: and I don't care to see them, but someone should. Preferably someone with the authority to do something about it if something fishy is found, which, as mentioned about, would be entirely legal and no violation of anyone's rights.
