In the last couple of years, a lot of fans have been voicing their opinions that mighty mouse may very well be considered the mma GOAT. This position has been stated many times on the most influential entity in mma, the Joe Rogan Experience. The question is: what does Demetrius Mighty Mouse Jenkins have to do to be considered the greatest of all time by the majority of fans?

Only bantamweights and up are eligible for GOAT status.

His ppv and viewing ratings say that it's a fact, not an opinion. The sport is carrying him, he is carrying none of the sport. Posting Witty memes won't make people care to see him fight.

He's fighting in a brand new division where the talent pool is severely lacking. The man is a great fighter but I think he'll have to challenge for the 135lb title to get true respect.

You don't have to sell PPVs to be the GOAT. No one might care to see him fight but that doesn't mean he isn't as good as he is. The only fact is that he has trouble selling PPVs, this is true.

His weight class is almost viewed as a special needs, "short bus" version of fighting. It is what it is. It just has no staying power. If mm is trying to get into the hearts and minds of mma nostalgia, he won't, for better or worse.

If Rogan calls him GOAT, then he is GOAT.

I predict Borg vs MM will eclipse Ali Frazier as most iconic fight of the millennium.

What does popularity have to do with the question at hand?

Wait, let me answer for you: nothing.
