I've been lifting seriously for about a year and a half.
My deadlift is 5X5 315
My Benchpress is 5X5 175
Then I do all my other lifts and sports. My squats terrible because I've been plagued with a knee injury from soccer. My goal for 2017 is to get back to squatting and learn to do the overhead press.
I'm trying to make a goal for 2017 for improving my Benchpress and deadlift 5x5 numbers. I weigh 200 pounds and I am 6'1. Nutrition is on point. I lifted pretty casually last year due to other sports. This year I'll be full time as I'm giving up my position on 2 of my 4 soccer teams. I'll also be surfing on the weekend so my strength should improve from that.
Any idea what a challenging but obtainable improvement goal might be? Feel free to use this thread to talk about your goals for 2017 or ask others a similar question. Thanks in advance.
