Glory 39 was entertaining enough. I was happy to see Doumbe win although that Saddik fight was boring. Looking ahead to GLORY 40, curious who you have in the main event between Middleweight Champ Jason “Psycho” Wilnis (30-6-1, 8 KO) vs. former champ Simon “The ONE” Marcus (45-3-2, 24 KO). I feel Marcus was his own worst enemy at GLORY 33 in his last fight, that I expect him to right the wrong. Thoughts?

Also where does one get odds on these fights? They seem to go up days before the fight or on 5 Dimes or SportsBettingDime https://www.sportsbettingdime.com/news/mma/glory-40-prediction-will-marcus-get-revenge-vs-wilnis/

Could go either way, but I'm pulling for Wilnis. He seems like a cool dude.

Can't stand Marcus for some reason, even though I like Muay Thai and clinchwork.

5Dimes almost always has odds for Glory cards, pretty consistently lately. Bookmaker also had odds this past weekend for Glory 39, which is a good sign for the popularity of the promotion. At least a couple of the European and international sportsbooks like Unibet also regularly have odds for international bettors. Odds usually get released a day or two before the cards.

I hope Wilnis win, I like his fighting style. There is something about Simon I don't like. Simon looks a little bit cocky.

The fight is a 50/50 game. I hope Wilnis wil win!

Simon has a tendency to lose his temper when he gets power blasted in the face and that makes him move forward recklessly, swinging hard with no thought to his own defense, which makes me think that if he can't control that, he is going to suffer the same result in this fight as he did in the first. Wilnis is very, very confident of a repeat performance.

Just curious Jim why odds go up just before the fight instead of a few weeks before?

Well, on the overall scale of things combat sports are niche compared to the big team sports and kickboxing is the least popular of combat sports compared to MMA & boxing so the oddsmakers don't prioritize it really. Big MMA fights like UFC main events or major boxing matches often do go up weeks in advance or at least several days and have sometimes dozens of prop bets available. We're lucky to get simple moneylines on Glory bouts at all.

can't say I'm surprised that Todd Grisham doesn't know what a slip is.

My money is on Wilnis to retain the MW belt as a slight underdog to Marcus at +100. Also on Abraham as a small favorite at -135 to get back in the win column after that first split decision loss to Antoine Pinto last time. Here are the odds that opened at 5Dimes yesterday afternoon. Lines have shifted some since then:
