Both within 15 seconds. Same counter, same fall, same followup hammerfist. The only thing different is that the 2011 ref didn't knee the loser in the face.
Get over it already

Fluke or no fluke, Connor mentally broke Aldo before the fight. "Half of this game is 90 percent mental" Tim Sylvia.

The fluke was not the punch. It was the over-aggression of Aldo providing Conor the perfect chance to do that. Aldo never opens like that ever. Yes, he has thrown the combination before but in a more patient and systematic method. The fact that Aldo has never opened like that and running in to Conor unlike himself is the fluke in relation to Conor's win.

Robin Black had a interview of Conor the day bofore the fight...Conor described the combination Aldo would throw and the punch he would land that would KO Aldo..does this mean we can find a .gif of Aldo throwing the same punch and it landing to prove that it was a fluke?
this is a stupid post.

How about gif proof of nuthugging paying off in some way? Or gif proof of Conner defending a belt against a top contender? Or proof of being able to talk about something in a non-fanvjrl manner.
Lol delusional and ignorant.
Aldo didn't charge forward recklessly for no reason. Conor clearly baited him and beat him with footwork, timing and precision. Conor's footwork and evasive skills in that exchange are overlooked due to the beauty of the left hand.
And yes Aldo does come forward aggressively when he throws. Always.
It was happening eventually.

Wanna prove it wasn't a fluke?
Rematch one of the most deserving long-reigning title holders in MMA history and prove it wasn't a fluke.

Aldo should have accepted the rematch then instead of letting his manager decline it. "Anywhere, anytime, doesn't matter if it's for the title or not."
Aldo himself said that his first punch was going to be a knockout punch. Get this through your thick head. The fighter Aldo became in the UFC never opened like that. If Aldo didn't let Conor get in his head then Aldo could have got a better understanding of what Conor was trying to do in the second round or even later in the first if he was more patient so you can't say it was going to happen anyway. The point is Aldo never committed to a first punch knockout before. Conor always speaks about his orthodox opponents over-extending with a right and him countering them with a left and it is not some holy miracle that he was practicing it backstage. Conor did not know Aldo was going to come that early (proof is the fact that he got hit) and he did not even have to bait Aldo in as Aldo was coming in anyway regardless of him tempting him.
Having said that Aldo executed it with poor technique and paid the price and it was a good counter from Conor. The point is Conor ONLY won because of his trash talk. For this you can give Conor props for mentally disturbing his opponent to the extent that they fight unlike themselves but you can't say he beat the BEST Aldo or that he is the better fighter or that he took everything Aldo had to give him. It was a series of unlikely occurances.
See below where Aldo said his first punch would be a knockout punch. Time stamped.
Nice deflection. Old over-used tactic.
Your saltiness is giving me hypertension.
Aldo threw exactly like he always does.
He underestimated Conor's striking greatly and got slept.
He did nothing differently.
He's thrown combos in the first 30 seconds of a round before I'm sure.
It was no over committed haymaker thrown out of rage, lol.
Conor baited him beautifully and landed the perfect counter because Aldo's elementary striking style is easy for a Conor to read. He's just on another level. Get over it.
