General MMA Discussion & Future Lines - March, 2018

haha your definition of legit is funny
How so? I mostly bet on the major sportsbooks that convert to dollars, but I have also made substantial wagers on all three of those BTC only books I named and gotten paid right to my Bitcoin wallet within minutes or hours at most many times. The guy is in Argentina, he has few options apparently so I think these are great alternatives for him, especially since my experience is not unique.

Nitrogensports is a legitimate sportsbook, never had any problems and they allow high limits! Within minutes they allow withdrawals I have never had that with any other sportsbook.

Roads55 posts a lot of dismissive shit, but without offering reasons why. (This is the same guy who recommended everyone panic and mass withdraw all funds from 5Dimes after the Tony situation)

I've looked online and NitrogenSports has a solid B+ rating from the SBR, which is decent for a book that has only been around 2012 and whose first rating, a B, was in 2014. No major complaints, and they are known for quick, easy payouts.

Until sportsbooks become legalized in more US states, this is fairly legit, yeah.

not saying they aren't useful or a viable alternative but they aren't that legit, they aren't regulated and as they use crypto they are a big target for hackers.

i recommended withdrawing short term yes. i gave reasons actually (maybe you forgot). 5dimes and tony is known for randomly withholding and taking people's money and crazy stuff like that. additionally with people being limited so badly there recently I don't think it was irrational in the slightest to be concerned if you had a lot of funds in there after he was murdered. what other "dismissive shit" have i posted out of curiosity?

well yeah this is my point, "fairly legit" is just funny to me when they aren't regulated in the slightest. this is all. and being known for quick and easy payouts in 2018 is a reflection on the state of the other US books and how lacking they are in some ways compared to their regulated counterparts.

Regulation isn't always some great thing. Look at the UK market with the brick & mortar betting shops & their online interfaces where they limit you down to pennies literally or ban winning bettors completely, as well as what is going down in America now the brick & mortar legal sportsbooks where they have small limits, few lines and trespass you from the property if you dare to win money. 5Dimes & Bookmaker are unregulated but I like playing there more than I would at some brick & mortar that barely has any MMA lines, no props and gives me the stink eye if I want to make a bet for more than peanuts.

true but getting gubbed isn't exclusive to euro book. US ones are starting to mimic the practice now. there are a lot more options with euro books, most books have mma lines now and the majority have props. and being regulated does make me more confident having my money in there. on top of that we have real exchanges LB for many books and LB on the exchange. overall euro books are much better for me but US openers are gold. and limits seem easier to place big bets for the meantime. each market has there pro's and cons but I expect them to become more similar in the coming years.

Cejudo is +175 against TJ at a weight class TJ has never fought in.

Tito just fell to -200 for his third fight against Liddell on 5Dimes. Tremendous value.

I bet an enormous 12 units on him which I'm sure will have certain members howling.

What happens if you get a friend to create a betting account for you to use and they somehow find out about it? Can there be any legal repercussions or they just freeze the account and keep the money?

Don't understand the Lawler/Askren odds at all. I have 2u on Lawler +280. Want to get a little more info on how his recovery from knee surgery is going, but when he doesn't have to worry about opponents striking, his sprawl and brawl is very good. Have a feeling Askren will be shooting from very far out once he feels Robbie's power.

Can't even give you shit for this bet, Chuck looked very geriatric hitting pads. I see you pushed it back to -235, hopefully it creeps back down.

That's a great bet, in my opinion.

Lidell shouldn't be licensed to fight at this point. Period. Ortiz is just years past his best but he's still active and can certainly perform at a certain level in the cage.

Heh, I can't take sole credit for that. Shortly after I made my bet, it was back up to -220, where it remained for most of the day.

JDS opened at around -130 against Tai Tuivasa on 5Dimes recently. I got him at -170 which I'm still mighty pleased about. Doubt he will be better than -200 for long.

I also have about 12u on Tito between -200 and -225 or so. If Chuck happens to pull off a miaracle near 49 years old after eight years in retirement and multiple knockout losses then I'll take my loss, but I can't help but think there is great value on this line.
