What u talkin about?! Jacobs was on his back, it got to the count of 5 and the ref put his hand on his chest to stop him getting up. So different refs have different calls, that's boxing. Personally, I think he should have let Jacobs get to his feet and carry on if he was able.

Not sure how he would gain fans, yelling bomb squad is retarded as fuck. He got out boxed, only saving grace is 2 rounds where he scored a knockdown. We can even gift wilder an extra round. so he won 3 rounds, the rest was the Gypsy King show!!

This thread is fucking retarded like that photoshopped golovkin in OPs avatar.

Video is suspect as fuck as it pans to the outside judge, and doesnt show when fury actually hit the canvas. Shill video, shill op, shill 115-111 wilder score card.

No. The ref stopped Jacobs at 7. There’s a place called YouTube.com find the fight

It's purely anecdotal but the bar I was in - absolutely packed, by the way - chanted "USA!" repeatedly after both knockdowns.

I guarantee if Wilder had been the one down he'd have been counted out in 8 seconds.

I don't get the bitching about the count. So what if the ref gave Fury an extra 1.25 seconds. Wilder waited 5 seconds after the fight continued to throw a jab to the fucking body. Wilder had two minutes to finish a badly hurt Tyson Fury. His post-knockdown reactions were poor and bomb squad members should think about it PERIOD

LOL I just watched it Brainiac! He counts until 5, Jacobs starts to sit up and yells something and the ref puts his hand on his chest to push him back down. He stopped counting at 5. Either way, the ref made his call that he didn't think Jacobs was fit to continue, as he is allowed to do. I think it was the wrong decision, but in the heat of the moment, the refs have to make split-second judgements.

Here's the youtube clip, timestamped for your convenience. Apology accepted.

For as much as Rogan talks about combat sports, he sure doesn't know much about boxing.

First, the ringside count keeper does use a timer. He may start the count a fraction of a second late, but once it's started it's spot on.

From looking at the footage, Tyson got up at about 10.1 seconds (down exactly at 0:17, up slightly after 0:27)... so the count was a little slow--they almost always are due to human reaction time, but this doesn't matter. Tyson was watching the ref and took his time, I have no doubt he could have gotten up 0.11 seconds quicker if he had to.

By comparison, Buster Douglas was down for 13.75 seconds, long count for sure... but it's absurd to think that he couldn't have gotten up quicker if he thought he needed to.

Down at 0:50, up at just under 0:14

Because I don't think it matters in the grand scheme of things. Each situation is different and refs are different people. It's just human error. You can't change it so why fight it?

Me neither. It's insane that the side that is perceived to have lost is the one complaining about injustice.
