Silly thing to say. They're both tools that have their place in the right moments and situations. Watch I can do it too. Jab > everything. See?
Jab has the speed advatange over most punches, the teep doesn't have it over the snap kick.
 
They don't serve the same purpose.

Teep kicks are effective for creating space. They don't generally hurt all that much, but if timed well they're good for pushing back an opponent who is trying to pressure.

A snap kick is meant to do damage.
 
Exactly. But usually the goal of hurting is superior yo the goal of pushing.
Well, sure. But teeps/push kicks are good to throw to wind your opponent when they are throwing. If timed correctly, they can deal some good damage too.
