Frank Mir says Fedor never lost his ability, the game just caught up to him as the sport evolved.

Fedor didnt evolve

Went from game plans to rock em sock em robots.

His losses weren't due to losing his speed, power and reflexes.

It was from becoming lazy.

He did have a good chin in his prime and he's pretty much completely lost that at this point.

Very true. Even at HW now he came seem to take the shots he could.

I mean Fabio had him wobbling all over the play and that dude has soap hands.

this is true alot of guys use age to say why guys lose like as fedor royce gracie ken shamrock ect lol that doesnt matter till they hit 42 cause these guys are professionals who train daily and tbh in hw guys arnt super technical anyways so you can fight as a hw well into the ageof 40 its just that the sport evolved them notice when he went to usa he couldnt dominate at all

The man beat Nog twice on the ground and chose to stand against CroCop. Fedors biggest "mistake" was not going down to LHW in 2007.

Common sense. He's just a bit slower, a bit less explosive and a bit more chinny that what he used to be. It's just that the guys he fought outside Nog and Crocop in pride would be complete bums to modern MMA standards.

He was the best of his era. This era is now over. Doesn't mean that he doesn't have a few good fights left in him of course.

Fedor, after a long career started facing opponents that had evolved punches. It took a decade for nature to develop a punch that would topple the King.

How is this thread still the top thread on this forum? Fedor has some diehard fans..

That's what happens when you go undefeated for 10 years all while fighting bigger guys with a balls to the wall style.

1. Mir is trying to make it seem fedor was the only guy in all of MMA who trained full time and that is totally wrong.
2. One thing no one seems to address is hunger. Fedor himself said he got into MMA (as did his brother ) to make money but Sambo is his true love in sports. Now he is worth 10's of millions and therefore no longer has that secondary motivator. So how hard is he really going to train? And how much effort will he put into keeping up with the times? Not much. He still trains with the same people the same routine in the same place that he is comfortable in.

<{cruzshake}>

Has he seen Fedor recently?...his style and skills are completely disintegrated from what it used to be. Sad but true.

Yeah, he used to pick guys like Heath Herring up and throw them down. When he fought Dan Henderson he just hugged him against the fence for a while.

I agree. He forgot that he was a decorated grappler and became a headhunter after the arlovski fight

Hunt, Werdum, and Arlovski are still top 10 HW's today lol. And they are all like 40 years old.

Fedor shoud have changed his team for Khabib's team.
HE used to fight like a wrestler/judoka with great power on his hands.
Now he is a headhunter, also slower and sloppier than in his prime
