Folayang destroyed Aoki!

yeah man, most fighters hit there prime around 30-33 which is his age, he shouldn't of hit his prime 10 years ago, as that kinda indicates he's stagnated badly since then. regardless, to say he is top 10 or even top 15 today is baseless.

How are you arguing that?

He's #159 WW (Hyd-LW by 1C standards) on Fight Matrix.

can we all agree now that aoki is vastly overrated and has been for a fair few years now? still he's a good fighter but he's not elite by any means.
Man MMA fans are tough.

Cruickshank/Aoki would still be good.

that would be a good test for aoki too see if he still belong sin the top 100... jk, not a bad fight for him tbh, but isn't cruickshank coming of several losses? doesn't really do much for aoki's record at this point. I'm not sure why the japanese like cruicshank so much, he keeps getting beaten..

I was a fan of Cruickshank in UFC. Very exciting fighter even if yeah, he hasin't had much success since 2014.

I'm arguing that because he just lost to a guy who wasn't ranked in the top 100, so what does that tell you? your saying aoki is ranked 159 ww? I'm not sure I follow, didn't know he'd moved up a weight class.

The hyrdated lw stuff is just stupid, he is a lw and if one disnt have those rules lets not pretend that he would fight ww, he would fight at 155 and he is not the 159th best fighter in his division , that is just a horribly dumb system of rating if you could tell me there are 159 fighters that are better then aoki in that division

Who have they produce?

You have got to be kidding me. This just shows your limited MMA Knowledge. You really think they produce RDA. He gets sponsored to show up a couple time a year and wear their shirt to fights. Same goes for Angela Lee, Christian Lee,Ben Askren. Shinya was not produce by them but may train with them currently. RDA owes his success to Kings MMA.

They have only produce Amir Khan and Benjamin Ang.

He's been training there since 2010, probably longer than you've been watching MMA. He was training with Evolve before Kings even opened. He spends a lot of time there, he doesn't just take photos in a T-shirt, he attributes a lot of his improvement to Evolve.

Dos Anjos owes just as much to Evolve as he does Kings.

Keep telling yourself that shill. When I see a fighter that they have produce ground up then my opinions would change.

Have you ever even been to evolve? Of course you have Shill. I visited it when I was in Singapore for holiday. One thing I can say is that It was legit FITNESS gym. It felt like fitness first. The classes felt so....canned like they were doing Zumba or Pilates.

I don't really have anything against evolve other than their cringey marketing, but let's be honest, they haven't produce anybody. You can't seriously think that they produce RDA right? Look who corners him in his fights rather than a biannual twitter/instagram post stating that Evolve is his secret formula.

Only UFC fighter that trains with them is Leandro Issa. Even then, I don't even know if he's still signed to UFC.

Like someone have said in another thread, handpicked fights for Evolve fighters have hilariously backfired most of the time. If you lose supposedly "easy wins", what does that say?

Best Asian MMA Gyms are located in Korea/Japan.period. Laughable and shrill like to suggest otherwise

Hmm ok, nope, never been to Evolve nor do I plan to. Looks shit, not going to reveal my identity but my stable mates have utterly destroyed some Evolve fighters. (I'm based in Asia). RDA went there a lot when MMA was less commercialised and Evolve seemed reasonably legit (2010-2013). Seems to work for RDA though as he still aligns himself with Evolve, not many people fly across the other side of the world to live for 3 months at a time (watch the video) with their entire family if the training is Zumba and Fitness like you say.

Point is, a former UFC world champion improved from an embarrassing loss to Clay Guida / being relatively unknown to the UFC belt and credits Evolve as a huge part in that achievement. How many world titles do you have? RDA is proudly parading it around a gym you dismissed, and he's since left Kings MMA (a gym you claim he owes his success to) and still trains at guess where, Evolve. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rafael_dos_Anjos, read where he trains on the right hand side)

I would say 7 years of solid training is enough to say that you have built a good amount of your skill set at a certain establishment. I was also half joking when I posted that photo of RDA, the fact that you decided to personally attack my "lack of MMA knowledge" was hilarious and sad at the same time. Last you'll hear from me.

And lol, at your little visitation story, they probably took a look at you and decided that you aren't worthy to train with say Shinya Aoki or Yodsanan (who surely aren't there for Zumba) and lumped you in with the tourists.

They usually seperate fighters and casuals you know.

My bad dude. Didn't mean any harm. I just find it laughable someone could suggest Evolve is legit MMA Gym, it's a great business system and fitness centre though

You can go there and find out for yourself, but trust me, you will be wholly disappointed. Rigid class structure, uninterested Trainers. You truly do feel you are in fitness first.

He lost to Folayang, many of his recent fights before that were cans.

first of all Trainers in Evolve are all legit guys, they got world champion in BJJ, Muay Thai and Boxing.

they are still a relatively new gym, also Amir Khan are a very good fighter for a 22 years old guy.
