I tend to go to these a couple times a year and one thing I love about them is that there are REAL people there hustling. It feels good being around real people instead of the ones who are too good to be at a flea market.

I know I sound poor but there's some good deals to be found

Anyone else hit up the local flea markets?

I'd rather do home invasions if I'm gonna poor that hard.

But seriously, it seems any standing flea market is a scam. Nothing's cheaper. It's just motherfucking used.

used to go on sunday when I was kid to the Hollis Flea market to buy comic books, garbage pail kids, and try to steal porno mags and vhs tapes. good times.

Finding a porno mag that had a girl you went to high school with /= pooring hard

IDGAF whether it's used or not. There's some good shit to be had.

There is a massive flea market near my condo in FL. I fucking LOVE it. Just endless rows of stuff. Flea markets are one of the absolute best places to get hot sauce and beef jerky.

also, this one has a small pond that has real crocodiles in them! that you can see and get within a few feet of. they even sell cut up hotdogs to feed them. its called Wagon Wheel Flea Market. Anyone ever been? its one of my favorite places I've ever been. Always leave with a few bags of cool stuff.

its been around since 1966 apparently.

Flea Markets in San Diego these days are fucking bullshit. Back in the day it was people selling what they didn't need and would bargain with reasonable cheap prices for their used stuff. Nowadays people do this as a regular job and sell at the flea market every weekend. They charge retail prices and are selling shit they buy wholesale from China or Mexico. Its no longer a flea market/swap meet but its like an outdoor strip mall where you are paying retail prices for stuff. When I pick something up and ask the price these fuckers go on eBay or whatever and then try to charge an arm and a leg. I used to leave with a ton of stuff but now I don't even bother going. Any good deal is bought by another seller before the place opens and they mark it up and try to resell it the same day.

I go to one almost every Sunday. I collect old Nintendo games and flea markets are one of the few places left you can buy them without going online. If you are friendly and chat them up most vendors are willing to haggle.

If you don't need to use them a lot you can get good deals on used power tools.

I don't do flea markets, but I like to buy my neckties at thrift stores.

Old dude croaks, family doesn't know what to do with his shit, they donate it, the felons and special eds working at the thrift store have no idea how to value these, and I end up with handmade silk Italian ties for $4 - $6.

I love flea markets, this summer my Saturday mornings are going to be house sales and flea markets.

I fuckin' love flea markets. I intentionally hunt the local flea markets when traveling.

I've heard that homeless panhandlers actually make a lot of money.
Has that been your experience?
Are you wealthy?
