I thought we had reached a point where it was a positive that one would not recognize his or her own "whiteness" or "blackness". Suppose not.

Legit racism? I don't think so. Outside of an occasional alcohol-induced outburst. But it's getting increasingly difficult to measure what constitutes as racism to people nowadays.

That's the problem with those people that see racism everywhere simply because Finland doesn't have many black people.
It takes the focus off the real issues.

What I meant with legit racism. Like what we see in East Germany or Poland/Hungary.
Neo-Nazi style groups beating people up for not being Finnish or throwing Molotov cocktails at refugee houses, marching in Helsinki while greeting the Fuehrer etc.

There's always going to be that element which chooses to direct their frustrations against a chosen group of people. But in a practical sense, if we measure the dangers of being the victim of a racist assault in Finland compared to most other countries, I would say the chances are rather minimal, if almost non-existent.
