Film vs Film Thread - Vol. 2

alien, was never a fan of the thing. Alien 1 created an atmosphere that left you on the edge of your seat the whole time.

titanic or the notebook

Titanic. the best part is when everyone is sliding across the deck as the boat is tilted. then it snaps in half. LOL

Juice vs Friday

daaaaaamn.
It sucks to have to choose either way.
Can't feel good about it. But I gotta go
with juice. A great drama beats out a
great comedy 9/10 for me...

Underrated performances in Juice.
An early "los pollos hermanos" dude
from breaking bad... and a great Samuel
Jackson. Damn. Fantastic film

A Prophet

Above the Rim vs He Got Game

Fast Five vs Furious Seven

Fast Five

Old Boy (original) vs Layer Cake

This thread seems to be out of order. I've come to the last post and it's the same one it's been for a week, whereas outside of the thread, it shows Kraysla has the last post. So I'll go with their match:

Old Boy.

Temple of Doom vs Return of the Jedi

Boyz n d Hood

Sixth Sense or Stir of Echos

Boyz n d Hood

Sixth Sense or Stir of Echos

Sixth Sense. Overall enjoyed it a lot more. Plus, a lot more memorable. Yeah, everyone knows the twist now, but the film still works. It's still an emotional journey. If you judge it from the first time you saw it, back before you knew the twist, it was mindblowing!

E.T. The Extra Terrestrial vs Alien

Boyz N the Hood

Kingsman: The Secret Service vs. X-Men: First Class

Kingsman: The Secret Service vs. X-Men: First Class

Tough choice. I really liked both, but I'd probably side with Kingsman by a hair.

Night of the Creeps vs Return of the Living Dead

City of God

Chinatown vs Godfather II

Chinatown

(To continue the game)

Episode 4: A New Hope vs Episode 5: Empire Strikes Back

Epire Strikes Back for me. Just more intense, and it has the perfect look; cinematography is great. Score is one of Williams' best.
