Fights Scratched Do To Overweights.

Has UFC ever scratched a fight do to an overweight fighter
or they have just contested said fight at a catchweight.The
reason I ask is I know Marloes Coenen lost a fight last year
in Bellator when her opponent was 5.6 pounds over the 145
limit.I also remember Jodie Esquibel losing a fight in Invicta
earlier this year when her opponent was 1 pound over on a
120 pound catchweight.

TS, to answer your mangled question, yes fights have been cancelled due to fighters missing weight. The UFC have done it themselves (Gastelum vs Cerrone at UFC 205 for instance), and also the athletic commissions can scrap bouts for missing weight (Alves, also at 205, as an example). In NY, its an automatic suspension period. I believe California has adopted something similar as well.
