Fighters you had high hopes for but that didn't live up to the expectations

Old School:
Pat Smith
Tank Abbott
Gary Goodridge
Igor Zinoviev
Newer:
Melvin Guillard
Thomas Almeida(still young, but I think its a wrap)
John Dodson(still exciting to watch, just not a belt holder)
Edson Barboza(still like him, we all know he can't beat elite grapplers though)

Yeah I thought Igor Zinoviev was a future champion until he ran into Frank Shamrock...
Agree with Almeida also but there's still hope.

Galore Bofando. The way he slammed Conor's bodyguard unconscious like if he was a weak pestilent little child, made me think for a second he would have had the fight IQ to work on TDD, and thus, give his crazy techniques a chance to flourish. He didnt, and he was smashed out of the UFC.

Brandon Thatch
Erick Silva
Alan Jouban
Henry Cejudo (yeah he's right behind Demetrious but I thought he'd be the one to beat him and then he choked pretty badly)
Joanne Calderwood

...and so far also Yair Rodriguez, he really needs to make up for that destruction and lay-off from the Edgar fight.
Lando Vannata is another one. Sure, he still has a lot of potential, but after Ferguson and Makdessi I thought he'd have a much quicker and easier rise to the top ranks of the division than he did.

Rory McDonald

Gunnar Nelson

Erick Silva

Brandon Thatch

Michael McDonald !!!!!!!!
Whatever happened to. Mcdonald I remember he finally came back and fought and then what? Did he just go ahain

Always remember hearing that joe Riggs was a beast in the gym, but just couldn’t put things together.

-Roger Huerta
-Denis Kang
- Kevin Randleman
- Anthony Pettis
- Erik Silva
- Uriah Hall
- Gegard Mousasi
- Brandon Vera
- Melvin Guillard
- Holly Holm
- BJ Penn (for all his success, it’s hard for me to say he lived up to his potential)

Denis Kang.
He actually had a pretty good career from a fan's standpoint.
UFC wise...I wish he'd signed earlier.

Ramsey Nijem... What the hell happened to that guy?!
Lost via highway robbery to Andrew Holbrook, then lost to James Krause on TUF.

Fighting Brian Foster next at PFL.

I really thought John Hathaway was going to be something special, but Crohn's disease completely derailed what could have been a solid career.
