Fighters who would have gone down as mythical god like people if they had retired earlier..

Before his late come back Frank Shamrock was seen as a god like

Brock should've retired when he got diverticulitis

Pre-Cain wars JDS
Pre-Illness Brock

If Fedor retired after pride, people would always ask what happened if he fought real competition. Now we know.

what do we know?

He finished Tim Silvya in 17 seconds, just shortly after Pride collapsed and shorty after Tim Silvya was the UFC champion.

What else do we know?

"I remember Sherdog back in 2008 with its delusional posts : Fedor is going to fight real competetion in America now."
"Big Tim is going to finish Fedor."

He died Arlovski and Mur. They we're both well passed their primes but so was he. Still sad we never saw him vs The Natural.

Get your facts straight, boy.
Arlovski was the #2 HW in the World according to Sherdog back when they fought with Fedor.
It was a still sharp version of Arlovski.

Fedor if he retired after Rogers. Would have been absolutely mythical.

Kevin Randleman suplexing Fedor onto his head/shoulder doesn't count as real competition? no matter how you feel about Pride/UFC, that was one of the craziest moments in MMA

If Anderson had retired before the Xheus fight he would still have losses to cans

It's basically Jon Jones if he decided to retire, but the failed drug tests and crap he pulls outside the octogon muddled the water. Already mentioned many times, but Fedor if he quit before he faught Werdum due to having the aura and win streak. Wanderlei if he retired after his 2nd fight with Rampage. Maybe BJ after Diego, but his loss to Hughes and loss in the beatdown he got in GSP 2 doesn't really make him look god like. Of course there is Rickson by armbar.

Fighter, mythical, god...

Only one fighter comes to mind; Fedor.

He is a nobody today

Stop lying to yourself bro. He's still the best known mixed martial artist ever, and one of two people to hold two titles in the world's foremost promotion at the same time. He doesn't have the aura he once did inside the cage, but a nobody? Don't be ridiculous.
