Will Brooks. You lot adored him before his UFC debut. So funny. Now look at him. Bellator incoming 2018. Wonderboy is close... Losing twice to the champ is no failure but he was billed as the new GOAT. Something he isn't and won't ever be. Who you got?
I remember when people on here said that Heath Herring would run through the entire UFC Heavyweight division
+1 for Weidman Also, Bitchyhara (shit... dude lost to artem lobov of all people... that shall kill any hype someone could have left) Veracestradamous: The black beast.... Yeah... im predicting he wont be able to deal with the top of the division
I disagree with Wonderboy because he's had serious hype since he came to the UFC. After he lost to Matt Brown I thought he'd never be much more than an exciting mid-tier fighter with an interesting & unusual fighting style. That he even got to the #1 contender status & got the title shots is a good accomplishment in itself.
As far as failed hype trains go I was thinking more along the lines of Houston Alexander or sadly Cro Cop in the UFC. Marius Zaromskis was a good example of a failed hype train outside of the UFC also.
I thought Brooks was gonna make some noise. I don't know what happened to him. Maybe he can turns things around.
Maybe not on the forums, but Andre Fili was ridiculously hyped on the SRN. It didn't help that he called in and hyped himself up even more. When he lost to Max Holloway, I laughed.
Goran Reljić I admit it was extremely impressive beating Guoveia like that in his debut but he never won another UFC fight again and didn't pan out at all. Marlon Sando Hatsu Hioki Maximo Blanco Good fighters but had a ton of hype at one point.
