Fedor's Garry Goodridge win is one of the biggest in Heavyweight history.

I saw it all too, but I don’t always remember that many details. Especially specific time frames and specific reasons certain reasons why certain fighters never met, even though they fought during the same period.
It´s good to rewatch sometimes, with a different "head"...

Only because Rogers was 10-0 with 10 KOs coming off a 22 second destruction of Arlovski. Gary was tough but we had already seen him lose. Rogers had that high confidence of an undefeated KO machine.

Plus, Rogers was a little bigger than Goodridge and maybe faster.

Fedor and UberReem really destroyed Brett's confidence forever

Good response. Wasn’t necessarily disagreeing, either. The tire shop worker turned sex offender was pretty scary during his come-up.

Fedor closed the distance on the bigger man and took the fight right to him immediately.

[/QUOTE] mark Coleman- your fine Gary! Your fine! As fedor lands bomb after bomb.

Big Daddy was a rich man's version of Ngannu

JJ is a cheating scumbag. got busted multiple times. cried like a little baby whose favorite toy, roids, was taken from him, when he got busted. he would be mediocre fighter without the juice.

Okay well how good would Gary Goodridge be without the juice??? He was already a gatekeeper, if he wasn’t on the juice he may very well be the male version of Angela magana…

Fedor fought in a division that had Overeem, Igor, Sergi, Kerr, Barnett, Hendo, and Werdum in it and he didn't fight any of them.

Spoken by someone who clearly was not watching MMA at the time.

It’s so easy to spot a Wiki-historian. Lol

God, it must suck to have that screen name and fight to defend his legacy (or lack of) on a daily basis.
Not going to lie…it does suck…after that second fight with DC thought things were turning around and he was legit GOAT taking it from GSP.

Classic brainlet response.

Not surprised coming from a "Conor GOAT" believer.

But Gary was likely fighting other dudes who were juiced up.

Jones was failing his drug tests while his opponents were clean. (Besides Vitor who was already dieting to make MW when he stepped up and fought Jones)

So basically Jones was juiced up while his opponents weren't.

Gary may have been juiced up but his opponents may have been too and were certainly allowed to.

Very different situation.

Gary fought in old school NHB with no rules.

Jones was fighting in an Org with rules and a contract that states you can't take PEDs. Jones still took them behind his opponent's bsck and that is why he is a cheater.

You are aware footage of these events still exists and can still be viewed right?

Hey, everybody loses.

But not everyone can go on a 10 year unbeaten streak in the most shallowest division all while being undersized.

Fixed.

Better statement is: everybody loses but only GSP has the balls to avenge those losses in brutal fashion and best everybody he has ever fought.

GSP lost to Serra and Hughes while he was still young and in his prime in his 20s.

Fedor lost to Werdum, Bigfoot and Hendo AFTER his 10 year streak. Fedor was 33 and 34 for those losses. He wanted a rematch with Werdum but it never happened.

PRIDE allowed Fedor to avenge his "loss" to TK. Had he lost in PRIDE he probably would have got a rematch but he didn't lose for 10 years.

Strikeforce was bought out by UFC.

To my recollection, his autobiography had some material about injecting his calves with lidocaine before matches to blunt the pain from leg kicks, guy was a savage..

As opposed to 65 year old MW Hendo?

<6>
That was 12 years into Fedor's career when he lost to Hendo.

GSP was only like 25 and 27 when he lost and there werent that many other WW's for him to fight which is why he received the rematches in less than 2 years.
