Fedor was the only ever 'Baddest Man On The Planet'

Because Tyson is only a boxer and can't defend the takedown.

Plus, Fedor was 40 and way past his best days when he lost to Matt. Bringing that up is like bringing up the end of Tyson's career. All fighters decline, lose and retire at some point.

It doesn't take away from what they accomplished in their prime. Fedor did not lose from age 23 to 33

He was 34 when Henderson stretched him out.

I just dont see how any mma fighter especially one with pedestrian hands can compete with world class elite pugilists, especially killers like Tyson.

This is all subjective opinion though and your points have merit and are acknowledged

Ask Mike Tyson what he thinks about Fedor. Even Tyson shows respect.

People can argue all they want, yes, the sport was younger and less fighters/divisions etc, but, of all the “GOAT” talks, there was only 1 of them who was the #1 fighter in all of MMA at any point of their peaks. And that is Fedor.

#TheLastEmperor

That's what I was going to say about Tyson. He might be more "feared" b/c he was legit crazy biting ears and going to prison. In the same way I"m more scared of Aleks E than Fedor.
But Tyson even admitted that he would not win in MMA or beat them 1 on 1 since he only used hands and they could take him down and pound him. He would have been an amazing MMA fighter if he started earlier. Don't blame him though as there was no money in it at the time.

So many skinny fat dorks in here trying to diminish what Fedor did and his accomplishments, when Tyson himself(and every single other legendary MMA fighter as well) bow down to Fedor.

Hilarious.

At the end of the day, no boxer of any size, no fighter of any size including but not limited to Anderson/GSP/Aldo/chuck/Wand/Shogun ETC would be eager to sign up for a fight against PRIME Fedor.

Legendary Werdum who came off the best win of his entire career?

Legendary JDS who he previously had a five round war with?

Legendary overeem who was and is still knocking guys dead?

Hunt, who he set the UFC record over all weight classes for strikes landed on + finished?

Lol yeh probably you should

-Werdum's biggest win is Fedor. That was 7 years ago.

-Overeem has over 60 fights and has been knocked out a dozen times. Clearly, not in his prime.

-He needed to set a UFC record for strikes to beat Mark Hunt? Why didn't he just submit him or knock him out early like all the other elite fighters have? Werdum had just knocked him out in the 2nd in Hunt's previous fight. Clearly not a prime win either.

Still not impressed.

I have an important question.

How old was Erick Silva back when Fedor was the #1 HW?

This!! Fedor beat Mirko at standup. Fedor smashed Minotauro on the ground. Those were regarded as the other top 2 guys in the world and he beat them at THEIR game.

Werdum's best performance, the best he ever looked, was against Cain. No doubt.

Overeem got technically picked apart standing, ran away, got taken down and slept.

Stipe isn't the flying knee type. He's the total strikes landed record holder. And he's a heavyweight.

You don't have to be impressed. He's still the goat heavyweight.

Subbing Fedor in a minute > beating broken Cain after 2 year layoff

He got dropped by Overeem and then knocked him out..... just like Rothwell and Bigfoot Silva did.

Stipe isn't the flying knee type? Or the pull a submission type? So.... you're basically saying he's not well-rounded then?

This place often feels like talking to young boys caught up in the product they've been sold as "the best thing ever", some divisions have advanced, HW isn't one of them.

I think Stipe would potentially lose not just to Fedor but to quite a few people around at that time, he's not exactly looked unbeatable and has depended very heavily on exploiting opponents weaknesses.
can you make a small summary of fedor best wins?
thanks. i must admit that I wasnt there at the time looking at Fedor prime, but his lost to henderson is kinda weird when fedor was still young.

Just watch the fight with Hendo. Fedor came out swinging with reckless abandon, and got caught with the H-bomb almost immediately. They were in the clinch for a while, and when Fedor's head had cleared, he went in for the kill again, and downed Hendo. He mounted Hendo without any care, and Hendo pulled of a brilliant move that surprised Fedor, resulting in the ref stopping the fight.
The way he fought was very different from his Pride years. Just look how careful and calculated he was when he fought the monster striker Schilt. His Strikeforce performances showed a fighter with a different mindset, obviously inferior both physically and mentally from a few years earlier.
