Fedor should have been disqualified vs Frank Mir

Mir got knocked out by the left hook that isn't shown in your shitty thread you dumb bitch

After the Hendo fight Fedor figured back of the head shots must be legal.

Soooo...Hendo should have been disqualified against Fedor.

There would be so many no contests/DQs if these types of standing shots were called

The rule is mostly for fighters at rest, like a GNP situation or when guys are against the fence.

Go find a house plant you goof

In one of Mir's post fight interviews he said any blow to the back of the head was his own fault for throwing that horrible lunging punch and completely falling over. Mir had zero problem with this, neither should you, troll.

The knockdown of Mir comes from one of the most blatantly illegal blows to the back of the head I've ever seen in MMA.

You can clearly see Fedor strike Mir DIRECTLY to the back of his head at the 4:16 time count in the following gif:

Here is a still frame providing undeniable evidence of how blatant the blow to the back of the head was:

This blow is what dropped Mir and irreversibly changed the outcome of the fight due to illegal strikes.

Fedor should have been immediately disqualified for such an act and at the very least the decision should now be made into a no contest.

If you don't understand the rules you should go watch WWE.

It was definitely the left hand that dropped Mir.

Should Matt Serra vs Gsp 1 be considered a NC?

TS has had to many blows to the back of the head.

It's a fight, get over it. Fighters slip, sometimes eye poked and groin shots are accidental. I don't think we've ever had an actual confirmed case of a fighter repeatedly hitting another in the back of the head forcing the ref to stop the fight.

It's Mir's fault -- he moved his head forward with his lunge -- Fedor was aiming for the side of his head

If you throw a punch, and your opponent mid punch TURNS his head away and makes you punch him in the back of the head, it isn't illegal idiot. An illegal shot to the back of the head is If his head is already turned for instance when you have someones back, and then you proceed to hit the back of the head.

AS has already been stated, that shot barely if at all hit mir...that wasn't the shot that hurt him...it was the short left hook that dropped mir...

So illegal blows that end fights are ok if they don't appear intentional?
yes in fact they are.

If you did not target the back of the head and only ended up hitting via the movement of the fighters it is perfectly legal.

He didn't turn his head away mid punch.

If you think blows to the back of the head are OK then you must be the one new to MMA.

that shot didn't even hit mir...it brushed over his head...watch the video again troll...it was the short left hook that dropped mir.
