The hearing, scheduled for 10 a.m. Eastern, will focus on Russian interference during the election.

It'll be interesting to hear what the FBI director has to say on these two issues.

on wiretapping

James Comey, the director of the FBI, is expected to flatly reject Donald Trump's claim that he was spied on by the Obama administration during the election campaign when he testifies on Monday at a House Intelligence Committee hearing.

any ongoing investigations

So far, the bureau has not publicly acknowledged the existence of the investigation into the connections between Mr. Trump’s associates and Russia. Typically, F.B.I. officials do not discuss developing investigations. But at times when the press has reported about an investigation at length, the officials will acknowledge the existence of an inquiry. The panel would like to examine the evidence that the bureau has obtained, but Mr. Comey may tell lawmakers that they cannot see it until his investigation is over.

If Mr. Comey acknowledges the investigation, it could balloon into a scandal for the still-young Trump administration.

here's what the president had to say on twitter ahead of the hearing

There is very unlikely to be a finding of direct collusion here. The espionage didn't require it. The propaganda coming out of the Kremlin didn't require it. I'm interested in the money laundering and shell companies.

I think there will be a smoke but no fire report. Both sides will claim vindication. Nothing will change. Trump can claim no collusion but why was Flynn fired from his staff, why was Manafort and Carter fired during his campaign? Why do many secret meetings between Russian officials and campaign and WH staff? Trump's claims of being friends with Trump, than claiming to never have met him etc?

Trump's tweet is interesting in that he's saying POTUS ie himself was cleared by Comey, is that just due to the twitter character limit or is he being precise for a reason and his campaign might have been connected and he wants to separate himself from his campaign staffers?

Then there was this of course - A direct appeal from then candidate Trump to Russian hackers -

It will be interesting to see Comey's word treated as gold in this instance, but when he stated Hillary did nothing illegal and that there was no chance for indictment his word was discounted and discredited as political.

What was worse? Begging and offering reward to a foreign power to hack a US presidential candidate, or begging Second Amendment people to assassinate a US presidential candidate?

Or your gross misrepresentation of events?

Funny how misdiagnosing malicious events and forensics have become a beating drum that Russia is behind hacks lol.

Or your gross denial of events?

Expressed wishes that Russia finds Hillary's 33,000 emails.

You - "He begged Russia to hack Hillary, and even offered them a reward!"

Asks 2nd Amendment people to stand up for their right.

You - "He begged gun owners to kill Hillary Clinton!"

This entire post is a lie.

You can't rewrite history to fit your narrative.

It's going to be nothing but political grandstanding.
This is all about creating talking points and drama for the fake news networks.

Nothing substantial will come from this other than vague innuendos.

This hearing is boring. So far its all "can't talk about that". I'm about to bail on it and switch to watching youtube vids of people cutting random things with a hot knife.

lol @ Trump using Clapper as a source but doesn't use Clapper for a source when he said Obama didn't spy on Trump Tower.

These Dems trying so hard to put words in Comey and his zombie friend's mouth.

Basically all I'm getting out of this is fuck Trent Gowdy?
