I’m getting chiseled now for summer and even though my 5x5 routine hits my core hard I love getting a good core pump.

My favs

Pallof press
One arm DB press
Hanging knee raise
Reverse crunch with band around feet


I workout in my garage so I can’t do any cable work or anything like that.
 
Full contact twists
Weighted decline sit-ups
Wood choppers
Saxon side bends
 
Barbell hip thrusts, ab wheel rollouts, suitcase lifts, single arm farmers carry.
 
- High bar squats
- Safety bar squats
- Ab wheel
- Hanging leg raises
 
Ab Wheels are brutal.
 
Weighted Ab Wheel
Paloff Press
Heavy single arm shrugs (better than suitcase carries imo)
Deadlift hypers
 
Valsalva manuever

AB Rollouts. The average person can't even do a negative on their knees without smashing their face on the floor.
 
In judo we do that side to side hip excercise that my sensei says is better than regular abs.
 
For isolated ab work, these days I do:
- hanging leg raises
- roll-outs
- strict sit-ups
- hollow rocks
- fitball crunches
- GHD sit-ups
 
i really like all the plate rotation exercises.
all one armed dumbbell lifts are really great imo.
macebells, clubbells, also.
