Those are the shortest examples I could think of in recent history

Why is everyone avoiding the answer the shortest reign is GSPs middleweight one. November 4 - December 7. Thats shorter than Jon Jones, GDR, Josh Barnett, just face it its the shortest one.

It's not technically over yet.

On another look, Conor's reign was through a leap year, so he and GDR are tied.

Georges St-Pierre as the Middleweight Champion - 33 days. Vacated due to illness.

But he will be fine to fight Conor McGregor. The balls on that Canadian!
