The suspect holds dual American-Israeli citizenship, an Israeli security official told CNN. He was arrested in Israel after an undercover investigation with the FBI.

He was arrested Thursday in connection with a series of bomb threats that have rattled Jewish institutions and community centers across the US and other countries, Israeli police said.

Israeli police worked with the FBI during the months-long undercover investigation to identify the 19-year-old suspect, who used "advanced camouflage technologies" to cover his tracks, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said.

The "poopstika" at Mizzou comes to mind, it was never exposed as a fugazy but I have absolutely no doubt that it was.

I'm also skeptical of hate crimes that are just minor property crimes. The commitment to such a thing, in terms of effort and ethics, is low enough that faking it strikes me as a very likely possibility. Its different with violent crime, can't remember ever hearing about a false flag when it comes to beating someone's ass.

Yeah but that guy wanted to go on a murder spree. That sort of hate crime is egregious enough that the commitment required for it weeds out all but the true believers so that's not likely something to be faked.
