There is no possible way they are going to let a 0-0 guy take a 12 round beating in front of the entire world assuming he can last that long.
 
Fact: Pretty much every guy Conor has fought hits harder than Mayweather. Floyd Mayweather punches women with his bare fists and can't knock them out.
 
Who cares how hard Floyd hits. Unless he slips on a banana peel 4 seconds into the fight, he's going to be hitting Conor a LOT and not getting hit much in return. This match is a farce.
 
A lot of people think Floyd is a naturally feather-fisted guy like Nate. Not true. He used to have a very high knockout rate before he broke his hands several times which forced him to switch his style to be a defensive-minded point fighter. But he can still knock out Conor with clean shots Conor won't see coming. If Nate was able to do that to Conor, Floyd certainly can.

Even Floyds own trainers have acknowledged Conors power, stating it may be superior to other big punchers Mayweather faced. That may be (probably is) hype for the fight. Conor gets hit for a living with 4 oz gloves. Floyds hand wraps are probably 4 ozs. Floyd has laughable punching power and is gonna be rocking some 10's( aka pillows strapped on his hands)
 
There's definitely way too much talk about Floyd's defense vs Conor's offense.

The real story will be Floyd's offense vs Conor's defense.

Floyd's offense was good enough to KO a brawler like Hatton, to batter an absolute veterans like Marquez and Mosley, and to make big guys like Cotto, De la Hoya and Canelo woozy at times.

He'll abuse this 0-0 boxer. Canner doesn't have particularly good defense even for MMA standards. For boxing and against one of the most accurate boxers in history he has no chance.

In Floyds first 24 fights, he only had two less knockouts than conor has in his first 24, and knockouts are a hell of a lot harder to come by in boxing than they are in MMA.
 
Floyd is not the hardest puncher. He doesn't throw for the KO, he throws and moves. He's the equivalent of GSP - takes few risks and wins each fight handily by decision. He may TKO a tired Conor later in the fight, but Conor won't go out cold. Not with 10oz gloves especially

Power comes from technique and boxers have much better boxing technique because its literally all they work on for their whole life.

I fully believe that Floyd probably hits harder than any MMA guy his size.
