I've just bought an external hard drive for my PS4 Pro.. I'm in the process of transferring devices and I'm confused about how to manage my storage. Since the internal hard drive is 4TB, I'm planning to utilize that space out of precaution should need be. My external hard drive is 8 TB, and I plan on making this the default storage location for every file on my PS4. I've already transferred all of the data in my internal hard drive onto the external hard drive, so now my concern is:
Do I clear out all data in my 4TB internal hard drive and then move it onto the new console or do I risk losing/corrupting data in the process?
If anyone's a PS4 user who's upgraded their HD, then you may also be familiar with installing the current firmware and prioritizing the console. I'd like to know the proper way of doing this. Thanks in advance!!
