experience with wordpress?

I was just wondering if anyone here has any experience with wordpress, and whether it is relatively easy to use. I am looking to design a site for one of our construction projects, and I wanted to implement the IDX plugin to the site. How do use the plugin? do you just add it in somewhere in the header file? If you guys don't know, is there any tutorial you would recommend?

Sorry, if I sound pretty noob, I really have no wordpress experience.

haha man this was a while ago. i still work with websites but i run large e-commerce sites now.
