I would most certainly consider someone who leans strongly towards striking or grappling in terms of offense a "striker" or "grappler."

Striker: JDS, Manuwa, Whittaker, Wonderboy, Conor, Swanson, Lineker, Holm, Joanna etc. We know these guys aren't likely to initiate a grappling exchange

Grappler: fewer ones who are as "pure" as the strikers but there are fighters who are clearly stronger on the grappling side like Oliynyk, Corey The Next Anderson, Jacare, Maia, Khabib, Do Bronx, Caraway, Pena, Esparza

I'd tend to agree, but not wholly with your point.

JDS is a black belt in jui-jitsu. Most of the strikers you listed are accomplished in grappling (at least on paper) It's almost dismissing accomplishments if we deem them to be just a 'striker'. A striker simply doesn't exist any more in my opinion. These people have to at least be decent level in both.

But I get what you're saying. I'm just passing time at work tbh.
