Having said that, all public fundings towards this fake school should be stopped before the next semester begins.

I've already commented on this extensively in this thread, but I think the University is retarded, and that all the students engaged in the aggressive behavior should be expelled. Also, some should be probably be criminally charged. I hope he gets paid, and sanity prevails at that college but I'm not hopeful.

Weinstein a wacist. This is starting to get not funny anymore. This type of fanaticism will drive people to get behind their political cause to a degree that the average person doesn't have the energy for and sees it pretty much a waist of time. It's what Hillary called the politics of meaning, and sadly it's the only "meaning" they have.

I think people should try to understand that economic progressives decades ago made legitimate arguments, such as Howard Zinn, about how certain social constructs were created with the intent of economic control.

Social progressives have now become their own entity, whose goal is to progress socially merely for the sake of itself. This is a bastardization of the original idea. Social progressive ideas, were originally meant to have economic goals.

I liken it to how ISIS was created by gulf arabs, and was nurtured to grow, until Frankenstein turned on his master.

Thanks for the updates. What a clusterfuck. Honestly this is all on the College President and Administration. The racist, abusive kids should have been expelled immediately as well as that one really awful teacher that was encouraging and participating in this. I kind of feel like Bret contributed to this monster a bit, but I gained respect for him for standing his ground and finally suing that inept school. It is obvious he has a passion for science and his students above all else.

Really dissapointed both he and his wife had to resign. If anything that's going to be taken as a vicory by those who wanted him gone. I would have far preferred it had he won a settlement and continued to teach, with the school having to provide security and actually get a handle on the students causing the issues, but the man has a wife and family to think about, so safety is paramount.

Still no admission of fault by the school, no rejection of the message or tactics of the students and the teachers who encouraged them, right back to business as usual, so no real victory.

I hope the former head of security can and does sue and wins as well.

It would certainly allow for poorer members of society a chance to get ahead, knock out industry requirements and come out with training for their career. What appealed so much about Bernie was the prospect of a "New" New Deal. A way to help people and repair and advance our crumbling infrastructure.



All society implodes differently, know what democratic socialist nations in Europe have over the US? Much better education leading to a much more educated populace. An educated workforce is a good thing, and would help America start leading the way in innovation yet again.

This idea that pure capitalism isn't as destructive as pure socialism is a silly conception. A healthy mix of both is a good thing, and we as a Nation should be judged on how we treat our poor. It's silly to think all socialists want "free hand outs". Fair compensation and tax dollars going to the people instead of multi national corporations is what we really want. The nation turns on the backs of even the lowest of workers.

As to devalued education, how? Based on current European models free college is a benefit, not a detriment. Hunting down isolated incidents of angry teenagers being stupid in a bid to detract from the importance of an education is, as I said before, just as silly as what the teenagers are doing themselves.
