Opinion Even TUCKER CARLSON now acknowledges TRUMP's staggering incompetence?

Its a cult now how an idiot like trump created the cult is do to fox news

His incompetence for anything beyond self promotion was always blatantly obvious.
Being able to formulate, describe and accomplish goals within the political framework is the definition of political competence.
The idea of Americans saying, "he wouldn't be incompetent if he was an autocrat" is hilarious.

Fire is hot, water is wet at 11.

Tucker is a socialist now

I think that with the Mueller investigation looking like its coming to a close and more and more believing Trump will not survive it, you see some key Conservatives laying the groundwork to separate from him and not go down with the ship. They want to lay the groundwork for 'see I did not always agree with Trump and suck him off'.

We've seen it also from the likes of prominent republicans like Lindsey Graham, Rand Paul and Bob Corker who have basically called into question the intelligence of anyone who viewed the CIA reports on the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, and Trump and the White House Staff position that it is not clear that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was behind the murder.

I like Tucker a great deal, but he is ignoring the fact that Trump is being thwarted at every turn by the elite.

Meh, this seems like Carlson attempting to hedge his career with little nuggets of honesty.

Yes, Trump is being thwarted by the very people that almost all of his policies objectively benefit. Nothing "elites" hate more than having their taxes lowered and subsidized by future taxes on the middle class, having their profits subsidized by taxpayer insurance of risk, being allowed to con consumers more easily and with less punishment, having their employees' protections slashed/bargaining power weakened and their business' overhead minimized, getting to pollute as much as they want, etc. etc. etc.

We all know that what elites really want is for poor people to have healthcare and women to be able to have abortions. American oligarchs are basically the ACLU.

Trump is the son of a billionaire, inherited a fortune to start his own company, went to an Ivy League school, had his own television show for years and yet somehow isn’t elite.

Tucker makes some very good points here.

He does.

Except for this one that bugged me... a ton :

Apart from asking these very important questions has he really achieved nothing?

Not much. Not much. Much less than he should have. I've come to believe he's not capable of it.

>>> So the Booming economy and low unemployment (among others) is considered "Not much", Tucker?

man. Who pissed in his cornflakes lately? o_O

Not when the senior leadership of both parties and large portions of the federal bureaucracy are the ones who make up the system opposing these agenda items.

Obama had a supermajority as well. Did he achieve any of his major agenda items during that time? Was he incompetent? Clinton pledged to secure the border and even build walls...he never did. Was he incompetent? What about Raegan? What about anybody?

I think Trump supporters and haters alike need to start taking a look at the real possibility that Trump is in league with everyone else. And before libs begin to celebrate they should understand that Trump being in league with everyone else just means their side is in league with Trump as well. It means everyone is compromised and dirty and were pretty much screwed as a country.

If Trump was in league with everyone else, the Democrats wouldn't be looking to throw him out of Office.

So I see Tucker is only an idiot when he's saying things liberals don't like. Suddenly he's a genius when he says one thing they do like.

Remember you guys were celebrating a lynch mob beseiging this guy's house with his wife and kids inside a couple months ago.

<{you!}><{you!}><{you!}>

Let me spell out the subtext: when the title says "even Tucker Carlson," it's meaning that even someone as stupid, unprincipled, and hackish as Carlson, who is a bona fide Trump surrogate, says this. The entire purpose of the thread is to point out that someone who isn't a genius is saying this, because it's that obvious.

I'm not sure how you continually fail to grasp that one can point out temporary moments of someone not being a hack, without that meaning you're calling them a genius. Like, if I said "it's so obvious that trickle down economics don't work, that even Yorkist agrees," I wouldn't be calling you a genius. I'd be saying that it's so obvious and undeniable that even someone as stupid and delusional as you realizes it.

He didn't achieve those. No matter how many times they are asked, no Trump supporters here have ever been able to proffer what Trump policies are responsible for the continued reduction in unemployment or any other feature of the economy.

Trump is not a strategic long term thinker and is too stubborn to admit when he is wrong this is what prevents him from achieving long term goals.

A skilled campaigner but a poor strategist.

I’d say he’s a skilled entertainer before I’d acknowledge his campaigning skills. His event schedule is impressive but that’s only because it feeds his ego and he’s been needing a lot of food lately.

It’s funny you only see things this way and telling about Trump supporters. See, thinking people can see a hack for what he is and can congratulate him when he finally sees the true as the rest of us educated people.

Now that doesn’t mean we are all going to start watching fox or his show. It just means good to him for finding his balls.

No president is going to pull off defunding planned parenthood or repealing Obama care, and the wall is putting a band-aid on a gaping wound.

People should get user to all the lies and broken promises in D.C., it's never going to change because the citizens collectively are too chickenshit and passive to do anything to change it.

I’d say Trump was the citizen trying to do something, too bad he was the one to be the first as it might draw people away from an outsider.

I think it must be extremely difficult to do anything when the opposition party has actual hatred for you. They aren't interested in America or it's people, only themselves, their jobs, and trying to hurt Trump, his family, and staff in any way possible, they are obsessed.
On top of that almost all the mass media has hatred for Trump too. They fail to give credit to Trump when credit is due, same as the Democrats fail on this.
Trump is up against it.

Bullshit. You're talking out of your ass if you think an Obamacare repeal wasn't a possibility until Trump completely punted it.

Any other president in history would have been able to get a GOP Congress to do what they already had tried to do nearly a dozen times. All he had to do was drum up one vote in the Senate. He couldn't get it done because he knows zero about the subject. He had no plan. He took zero initiative and displayed zero leadership skills. :Art of the Deal" guy couldn't negotiate his way out of a wet paper bag when it came to healthcare.

Had he done 1 100th the work Obama did in getting it passed to begin with he could have gotten the repeal. Instead he sat at desk waiting to rubber stamp whatever congress gave him, even if if it completely invalidated his campaign promises.

Fuck off acting like the deck was stacked against him on that one. Obamacare is now way more popular because the GOP and Trump showed their ass with their complete non-platform that it made Obamacare look amazing.
