SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - A Chevron attorney said in court on Wednesday that the company supports scientific conclusions that humans are causing climate change, a response to a lawsuit that accuses five major energy producers of misleading the public for years about their role in global warming.

Not in an internal email, not is a recorded meeting, but in a legal proceeding. Pretty big deal, imo. Hopefully we can get moving towards trying to abate this coming disaster.

Now that things are getting so fucked that mitigation is a long shot, they wanna own up to it. Fucking scumbags, I tell you.

It may be real to them but many here still won't accept the facts or data at all.

I have never bought into consensus logic. It looks like Boutrous was covering his bases when he said "IPCC reports were not as certain."

95% of people will admit it's real. There's just no stats to show what percentage is man made. That, and climate change really isn't that big of a deal.

oh look someones designed a thread to filter shitposters, good job

It's a gigantic deal, because upwards of a billion people will have to be re-situated. That's going to cost a lot of money, labor, resources, and create a lot of disputes and economic problems. And that's assuming everybody will have drinking water. Throw in water shortages and then things become critical. It's incredibly foolish to underestimate this.

Who died and made Chevron the king of Climate change?

Lots of water fuckery in South America over the last two decades too.

And then there's the fish...Jesus Christ the potential for disaster there is mind blowing if we don't get out ahead of this thing.
Hey, relax guy. Trump will take care of everything with his environmentally conscious EPA head, Mr. Scott Pruitt. :)

Why is it so hard to believe for people? It is not like science in West saying men can become women, everyone is gay, trans are not mental illness, all race equal, iq not exist which conflict with everyone opinion outside West.

All around world it make sense to say and notice that humans from pollute environment can hurt earth and make planet heat up from gasses in sky.

To me carbon gas in sky make earth heat up that obvious.

Climate change is old news. Give me something sexy.

FAKE NEWS FAKE NEWS!

BUT OBAMA!!

Nobody is going to have to be moved. Notice how these billion dollar bank companies (who do their research) still have no problem loaning out billions on long term loans for beach front property?

In 50 year's we will be on to better energy sources and look back and laugh at how big of a deal people made global warming (or is it climate change now? )

I actually agree with you on some key things here,

but your example is bad...

Bankers also gave loans to every Tom dick and jerry and spurred the largest economic recession in us history.
