Tried and tested way of building a promotion and making MMA accessible to people who have never seen it before. So can't really fault EFC on it.

The huge hole in their promotion has always been that the quality of their fighters has been piss poor. They can't really change that unless they're willing to pay up for better fighters.

If it helps more fighters get some $ & experience as long as the refs decent to protect fighters then all for these wannabe promos. They don’t cannibalize the higher end UFC productions and talent.

They should try a reality show where instead of taking 10-16 randoms and putting them in a tournament, they find one ultratalented prospect and follow him on the regional circuit as he racks up wins, and we see the fight week journey, the backstage scene, how much money is left over after paying managers, trainers, etc.

That was one of the major appeals of the old "Tapout" show, but they followed the Tapout guys more so than the fighters.

The biggest joke is Mike Diorio. Known con artist and drug addict who now is "working for God'. "Won" his amatuer fights without throwing a single solid punch and most of the fight footage of him looks like he lost the fights but was gifted a decision. After his first "pro fight" he went around asking for sponsors telling people he was fighting on TV for Bellator MMA which was completely untrue. Complete peice of shit.

EFC copies nearly everything from the UFC.
You just have to visit their YouTube Channel. From the set up of the Interviews to the embedded ("engaged") videos before the fights. Even the name. Not very creative in my opinion.
And this TUF rip-off is cringy af.

But at least they are promoting MMA on a continent where it's barely known/popular.

There was some controversy in the quarter finals when Will Fleury was stopped with illegal elbows and the ref ruled the fight an NC.

In the end Fleury was disqualified with concussion and the guy who did it to him advanced to the semi-finals <45>
