Yeah, but Clay is a tough fight for anyone, he's proven that time and time again. I think Frankie pulls it off, but by using A LOT of his usual movement, bouncing around like a kid on meth...safe win, ala GSP. Which is a reason I hope Brian gets it done.

I disagree on this one.Theres something special about Ortega's talent and the way he carries himself .....takes a punch well and now his striking is coming along.Frankie has had so many chances but I think Ortega ends his title elimination streak.
Really curious what opening odds will be on this one.I think it'll be under -150

Still can't believe Yair thought he was hot sh*t after beating BJ effin Penn. Now he's still MIA.

8 years ago Edgar destroys him.

Now since Edgar is battle damaged it's more even.

Good question (no sarcasm). I wonder if Fightmetric or another such database has stats on rounds / judges scores for fights that didn’t go the distance.

You don't need to win rounds when you finish your opponent. He may lose the battles, but he always finds a way to win the war.

Yeah it's become something that's just popular to say, but there's no factual basis behind it. Winning every single fight that isn't a title fight is why he gets these shots.

Frankie will continue in his path to that belt... that seems NEVER to come.

I don't think he's gonna make it to a title shot. Beating Cub was likely the quickest way because he is susceptible to submissions. Now what is he going to do? After this loss he probably gets fed to Lamas.

The only good thing about interim titles is that they make non-main events five rounders. I hate that a title eliminator like this gets limited to three rounds. I recall reading that there's nothing keeping UFC from making whichever fight they want five rounds but they simply choose not to do it.

I fucking love frankie and hope he gets the win, ortega is great and easy to root for but fingers crossed Edgar gets the win, he's responsible for some of my favourite fights, particularly the Maynard fights...fucking incredible.

This is the complete opposite of the Yair fight. I think Edgar just goes to town piecing Ortega up on the feet.

If Edgar were the type to underestimate his opponent, I could imagine him getting sloppy and caught in a submission. I just don't think Edgar takes anyone lightly and has too much experience.
