For the very first time in our world's history a rocket has entered orbit after launching from a privately owned and operated SPACEPORT.

The most magnificent nation on our little planet - the same nation which produced the FATHER of NUCLEAR PHYSICS Earnest Rutherford as well as the first to be badass enough to reach the summit of the MIGHTY Mt Everest, Edmund Hillary - has decided to become a player in the space game.

Every other nation who has successfully put a vehicle into orbit has MASSIVE funding for both military and space operations relative to New Zealand but that was not even close to enough to stop Kiwi Peter Beck from deciding he wanted to head a program to put NZ on the space map in terms of orbital capability. (Note that Australia still has not accomplished this. I'm just saying.)

New Zealand is only the third nation on Earth to successfully produce a private company capable of achieving orbit.

In typical deadpan, understated Kiwi fashion the rocket was named "Still Testing".
