Ye ye, WIthout Conor he doesn't get close to 1m.
That's what was stated in the other thread.
He gets way more undisclosed that the AC cannot touch
You are not understanding
They did about 1.9m on traditional PPV & another 500k on iPPV
2.1 million of those ppv cam be attributed to Conor.
This fight was gunning for 2 million+ regardless of Conor's opponent. Khabib is dangerous, obviously, but they would have created drama with anyone. Ferg would have sold well too, if only because he can (sort of) speak english.
yes indeed on the Khabib Instagram followers.
And it was only like 11.5million just 2 or 3 days ago.
So....the RATE that it is climbing at is in fact higher than other major UFC players. His Instagram followers in now around 42% of the McGregor number. So that is very significant, and UFC will know that.
Wouldn't surprise me to see Khabib hit 15million Instagram followers within maybe a month or even less. UFC do check these numbers.
30 Mill without a doubt.
lol.. just kidding... but that is my best "educated guess."
I actually fielded this question in a PM & put a lot of thought into it using the best info we've gotten from the past about the "PPV gradient scale"... mixed in with my best guestimates to fill in the blanks that we have no idea knowing. I also did this breakdown before Meltzers number of 2.4 million came out & so my figures are based on 2.5 million... which it still could be... so it's close enough for what we're doing here.
So here is that:
Spoiler: Breakdown of Conor's possilble PPV payday
First thing is to recognize what Conor himself said.
"We're estimating Tree - Tree.5 million (sales) I'd say I close in around the 50 million dollar mark."
PPV numberz are way way bigger once you get to that top threshold. The 1 million buy mark has a gradient system that trickles a little bit more all the way up. Once you breach the 1 million buy point though is when it takes off at rocket speed.
Anywayz... we got chatter that he got his equal stake in he whole bottom line... such a co-owner or co-promoter would... so perhaps thingz could be different now.
The following quoted from @Frankie NYC:
"UFC gets 55% of traditional PPV & 70% of iPPV… roughly. On a 3m PPV, UFC gets in the $150-160m range as gross revenue (everything combined) "
So working off this 55% figure...
Lets just say their "trending projections" of 2.5 million buys is accurate. 2.5 million x $55 per buy = $137,500,000 & 55% of that would be $75,625,000. So if we're assuming that Conor made a 50-50 deal with the UFC... then 75,625,000 divided by 2 = $38 mill rounded up.
Khabib is likely getting PPV points... plus his 2 million disclosed purse... so that will chip away at Mac's cut.
It's confirmed that Mac waz getting 10 mill at around 1.4 - 1.5 mill buyz... so Khabib could well be drawing 20 mill for a 2.5 mill PPV buy because the cut around 1.5 mill takes off real quick at $7/buy. (from Conor's own words... & who knowz it if goes to $8 or $9 as PPV breaches larger numberz. We also don't know when the $7/buy kicks in, which could start calculating at 1.3 for all I know.)
So if Conor & the UFC are splitting thingz 50 -50, then Khabib's share cuts both of them down 10 mill each... to both Conor & the UFC making 28M each.
Dat Huge gate could go 50 percent into Conor's pocket as well.
There's a lot we don't know. on the real, but with a lot of assuming mixing in with some real stuff I know about the financez... that is pretty realistic.
We also won't know the real numbers for PPV buyz that Melzer puts out for at least a month. So there's a lot to look at here that we don't know.
... so it's all speculation, but this is a pretty decent educated guess imo.
I'm going to just round it up to a nice even 30 mill... how bout dat.
Higher than Floyd-Canelo and same as Floyd-Oscar.
The first fight ever to do 2 million + that doesn't involve Floyd.
Conor has proved his drawing power.
Pacquaio hasn't even hit 2 million + (other than Floyd)
Highest Pacquaio has done is 1.5 mill. To put that into perspective
Well ... you are quoting the right people in your PM
those are good numbers for the UFC
I might as well add this here
UFC 202 did not do 1.6m
I saw Dave Meltzer write a few times 1.5m recently so I asked him & he said the final number is 1.5m
So this seems to have done 900k more
@Myrddin Wild I know you are the SD charts/graphs guy so here ya go
Good looking out bro... & yes, please tink of tagging me whenever Meltzer puts out a PPV number or adjustment. Pleazzze
You know what happens now right?
People will post 1.6m
You & I will tell them the number wound up lower.
They will google & most likely find a blogger that has 1.6m & tell us we are wrong & then ask for "sauce"
I'm guesting on a podcast tonight for @TheCompleteKO
Should be a lot of good info/numberZ
or their blogger will come up with 1.317M
rematch does 3m easy
everyone loves an underdog story
Right after the post fight stuff, I would have agreed, but I don't know if I would say "easy".
Like with the second Nate fight, I think Conor will be more focused on training than promoting.
3m is certainly realistic, but to blow past that easily, they would need more hype/press
Separate names with a comma.
