Sounds like the fight actually did 1.9m buys. So another mma ppv that was supposed to break 2m but couldn't....

A casual I work with said he wants to see a rematch. I asked him why and he said he didn't know, he just wanted to see it.
 
Khabib exploded after this fight. He has 12 million instagram followers right now. To compare, GSP has 2 million, Jones has 2.9 million and Diaz has 2.5 million. The only UFC fighter who has more is Conor obviously, but both Khabib and Conor will do huge PPV numbers from here on out.

Khabib is a legit star at this point. If the UFC plays this right, and gives Conor 2 or maybe 3 favorable matchups, they could play the 'He's back!' angle for the biggest rematch in UFC history in about 1.5 year.

The reason why Floyd makes so much more is because she is the fighter and the promoter. That is why he writes checks to himself. Conor can make the same amount as Floyd is he creates, runs and fights for his own promotion.

He would make same %, but Boxing brings in bigger TV money worldwide & sponsorship
As big as #229 was/is ... MayMac did about 5x the gross

Well, no shit Floyd does that. Probably not news to anyone who follows the sport. Boxing and MMA are structured a bit differently, though. Conor, if he wasn't under contract with the UFC, could certainly do the same thing. However, getting top opponents to fight him is another matter altogether.

Somewhere down the road, MMA fighters will hopefully be able to promote their own fights just like Floyd did, given how the UFC is grossly underpaying them at present. The company would not be sold for anywhere near 4.2 billion dollars had it not been for their extremely lucrative business model. They're simply exploiting fighters, for no other reason than "because they can."
 
Conor has to start winning tho. People ain't gonna keep tuning in to see him getting beat like a government mule.

Difference between them as a fighters is wrestling that Khabib invested his whole life and Conor was dominated but also has a chance to win next time. Very hard task but not impossible.

Difference between them in business is that Conor break the window and earn 30 to 50 million dollars and Khabib made incident after fight and lost some part of his payday.

Respect to Khabib as a fighter but Khabib has mentality of sheep shagger and instead of excuses that he couldn't control himself after fight he and his father and even their elder should say thank you to McGregor real businessman who changed their lives! Now they can help much more to their family and society!

I see so much hate toward Conor, the guy who put MMA as a mainstream. Where the fuck did he insult his religion, few little jokes are insulting? We don't live in sheep shagging world that you can't tell anything! It doesn't go that way, the world is not Dagestan! It's not about respect but it's about freedom! Never mind.

Conor has a decent chance to win in a rematch but he needs to be very serious and detailed in his preparation and strategy! If he win in a rematch after dominant performance of Khabib than Conor would be bigger than ever! And than he can try to break Floyd vs Manny record in PPV.

Sport and business are going side by side! Lot of people are celebrating his loss but never achieve anything close to his succes! He's still GOAT in the game because noone is taking big risk in fight game as him. When I see all these haters than I need to say - Bless Conor for inspiring lot of people that sky is the limit! Everyone can fall but you need to get back up and continue to think and do big. Life than has a meaning of fighting and success. So don't sell that bullshit story of fake humbleness because it's just fake!

Humble man you won't see on TV screen doing shit with bullshit excuses!
