If testing is ruining the sport (UFC is doing that all by itself.) then it doesn't need to be a sport.
Also, I'm sorry, but JDS is not a top fighter anymore, and he hasn't been one for a long time. JDS getting removed from a card is hardly a big deal. Anyone who cares about that needs to raise their standards.
MMA has become a mediocre kickboxing sport where every aspect of the fight has been watered down due to easily bored fans, and a pro wrestling style obsession with the "show." On top of that, top fighters are playing the Conor game, and stalling big fights.
Also, Pride was exciting to fans because of its pro wrestling style production, and the fact that the company was spending mafia money like a drunken teenager. It's model was never sustainable.
For every "good" fight in Pride, there was a terrible one, and a fixed one.
The UFC needs a brand change, and a new fan demographic. Good luck with that.
