Lol California has a lot of greatness and beauty we also aren't dealing with tornados or hurricanes right now or ever.

I know about California. It has beautiful areas once you get away from the big cities. The North part of the state is beautiful. But it is still a dump ground for liberals and gays. No tornadoes, but that earthquake in Mexico has me concerned for folks in California. California is due for a major earthquake in the next few years. An 8.0 on the scale.

LA is pretty much a total shithole, the middle of which is an apocalyptic post-industrial urban wasteland, bordered by cookie cutter suburbs riddled with gangs, and of course the enclaves of rich people on the outskirts, in the hills and near the beach.

The reason so many homeless live in downtown LA is relatively simple; Wealth inequality is getting worse and USA's homeless population is going up. Since LA has the best weather of any city in the continental US it makes sense that most homeless end up there eventually, except the ones who manage to make it even farther west to hawaii.

manhattan is ok for the most part, sure it has homeless people lurking at night and some trash here and there but pretty decent for a big city. Upper manhattan and close to harlem is a dump but not the whole downtown. Dc is nice for the most part and seattle too.

All of downtown LA smelled like dog shit and was dirty as fuck. And it surprised me cause a few minutes before i was chillin around rodeo drive, malibu, beverly hills, irvine etc and i found it to be clean and nice.

Nah, a weak liberal government does make for shitty cities. You have a right to exist, you don't have a right to shit and piss and sleep in the street. You don't have a right to charge people to open public doors for them, or clean your windshield after they spit on it. You don't have a right to drink and do drugs in public.
When I was growing up, 42nd street was a drug and crime haven. A strong Mayor turned it into a family friendly tourist area. The homeless were put in shelters and mental health facilities were utilized as well. Cops didn't allow the harassing windshield washers, or door holders and ticketed beggars (who are mostly con artists).
Fast forward to a weak liberal Mayor and all the beggars and homeless are back. The quality of life crimes are ignored, and there are areas you stay away from. A liberal mayor that allows nude women in Times Square that charge for pictures. Allows tent cities in public parks that were once for kids to play in.

So where exactly are they supposed to sleep if there aren't enough shelters ? More homeless in America than ever( I don't wanna do a liberal /conservative debate about why ? Either ). Whet do you propose they do ?

I was in LA cause my plane to japan departs from lax. My bud lives in palos verdes and was my tour guide for the weekend.

To my surprise i liked it a lot , for the most part is clean and people is nicer than ny. I had a pleasant stay. Uber and food are way cheaper here than ny.

That being said, downtown la is an absolute shithole full of junkies, trash and the whole place smells like shit. Why? has it always been like that? Venice beach is trash as fuck too.

Im in tokyo now for the first time. It truly is the pinacle of civilization. Clean, developed , organized, great food. Its an amazing country.

Growing up in Southern California I can tell you right now all of Southern California has gotten out of control . Just more and more people all over . However yes most of LA is a shithole that I would never want to live in again. I lived in Santa Monica in a baller pad for just 2 years is all I could handle or else I would of ended up a Charlie sheen status wannabe . I was doing Coke ,Banging clubs skanks and escorts. Fast pace living that at the end of the day unless you're balling In the hills or Beverly Hills fuck that shit. Don't even get me started on skidrow and shit I got stories for days . I went to jungle rave underground parties back in 1997 and it was nuts and super sketchy back then. I saw a guy get shot after a club right In front me . It was in the middle of a 3 way gang war on Crenshaw and 18th street.
Imagine frying in acid seeing crackheads approaching you in the middle of the night.
Venice beach I ditched class back in 1999 and we drove up just to buy a bong from all the head shops there. Venice was actually pretty decent up to 2005ish and then it was over especially with the medical weed wannabes taking over. Place turned into pure weirdo skitzo trash. Feel bad for tourists there now .
