Askren is not a draw and never will become one, even if somebody decides to shove him down people's throats for 5 straight years. The guy is boring as fuck, has a totally fan-unfriendly style. The casuals will never embrace him and will never pay cash to watch him.
You naive morons have to realize once and for all time that the UFC is in the PPV selling business, not in the "let's find who is the best fighter in the world" business.
Askren vs GSP is not happening.

GSP wasn't the most exciting fighter yet he was a draw. Look at Khabib. I personally think he's exciting, but plenty of fans find him boring.

Ben Askren doesn't have an exciting style. But unlike others that the UFC let go for their boring style (Fitch, Shields, Okami, etc...) He's very good on the mic. Add that to the fact that hes undefeated and a former US olympian, he can EASILY be a draw against GSP. UFC just simply missed the boat on Ben Askren.

This idea that Ben Askren can't be someone people want to see is bullshit. Chael Sonnen is proof that you don't have to be an exciting fighter to draw ppv sales.

The more we talk about this potential fight, the more likely it is to happen. So everyone PLEASE keep talking about it! :)

It is never going to happen, dude, no matter if we keep talking about it or not.
Askren is only known to the hardcores, and they don't bring a lot of PPV buys to the table.
If GSP decides to fight again, it will be in a big money fight against a casual-friendly opponent.
