Cut back to one small can a day. Drinking the rehabs they're delicious.

Squatted 500x5 the other day. But for the most part, nah. Been working and then getting smashed lately.

Just got back from vacation. Mediocre at best. Lessons of the week:

    1. If you travel with another family get your own spot, and your own food, or just don't period unless you're really really really sure...

    2. If you are a planner, like my wife, you should make sure you;'re either the main planner, or at least heavily involved in the plans. This will save you a lot of heartache as the days go on.

    3. Babies can burn, even in a well shaded area.

I learnt lesson 1 a long time ago........not making that mistake again - although I found that any issues were usually due to the women, rather than the men.

The problem was the weather. We didn't even imagine Florida would be as cold and windy as it was and so we were cooped up together in a condo... Really not ideal with two very different family dynamics.

Nope. My left hip had been busted up for a while. I think I nailed it down to some sort of issue with my piriformis and super tight rectus femoris. I've been addressing it and things are almost back to 100% now. I basically hadn't trained squats or deadlifts for 10 weeks.

I'm in my second week back training now and my hip seems almost 100%. My bench hasn't suffered at all, but it's going to take me a long-ass time to get my squat and deadlift back in shape. With any luck, I'll be in shape to do a meet in the fall. We'll see how it goes.

I'm currently squatting 3x, benching 3x, and deadlifting 2x per week.

That's rough. I would go insane if I wasn't able to train squats or deadlifts for that long.

I wish you a speedy recovery. Good luck.

Believe me, being injured and hurting every day/every time you try to lift makes it pretty easy to become unmotivated and avoid doing those things. And I'm saying that as someone who's favourite lift is the squat.

    Thanks, I appreciate it!

Weekend plans pub? My old Thai Boxing club has started Saturday sessions again, so I'm going to pop along with my sons for a bit of training. I'll then visit my mum and drop off her Mother's Day card & gift and spend some time there before collecting my girlfriend from work.

Sunday I will get a bench session in and then we have a Christening to attend, with a party (I guess) afterwards, so it will be nice to catch up with a few people there.

Tonight I am lifting then eating steaks and watching a movie, have a couple of beers with my housemates. Tomorrow is a day off so I am going to the Mother's to drop her card and some chocolates off, then going doing some shopping then relaxing tomorrow night, maybe record some music for my side project.

On Sunday I am spotting/loading at a push-pull meet and then watching Logan (again) in the evening.

There's never enough time to do everything is there?

DL tonight, then four of us are going up to my friend's cabin this weekend to help him clear fallen trees. There was a big storm. It's a very nice, quiet, chill place to relax once the chores are done. Steaks, a fire, and friends I've known for a long, long time.

Any thoughts on the new king Kong movie? We saw logan last week and it was pretty great. The local theater serves beer so it's an easy sell to for me.

Yep, it's just a push/pull for the GBPF north west so I should be done in about 4 hours. Not doing squats will make things run very quickly.

Thanks man, feels good to finally finish it.
Going to start working on a new and better me next week. I've been neglecting it for a long time, half out of being too busy and half out of laziness. I'm tired of being a weak piece of shit though. Going to try and lose 40-50 pounds and at least lift a couple days a week.
