Big Machdia fan. I'm hoping he pulls it off. He's not exactly a spring chicken anymore though. And he's fighting a southpaw. It seems like that's all he fights lately is southpaws. In his prime I would favor lyoto but can he get it done now? Isn't carvalho in his prime and a very solid striker? Hmm

Lyoto looked good against Vitor, so I have some hopes.

Carvalho is a tough fight for anyone, he is very athletic and has good speed considering his size.
Very solid striker? Not that much but his kicks are solid.

I think he will try to take Machida's down when he feel he can be KOd again ala Moose

Looking forward to fight- people thinking machida will be some decent size favorite will be disappointed. Carvalho is legit, just got crushed by an in prime, arguably best middleweight in world in Mousasi.Gegard was a 4-1 favorite Over Carvalho and turned out for good reason.Machida still talented at 39 or 40 but now has been stoped in half of his past half dozen fights or so...
Franklin U line:
Machida -115
Carvalho -115

yes, I'm predicting a pk'em like line to come out (which should be soon....its freekn Wed already)..

I see this fight going distance and a virtual coin flip on a razor thin decision.

I bet Carvalho as a slight favorite at -120 myself.

Unfortunately I think Machida gets finished

there's a big chance this fight turns out to be incredibly boring, btw i'm going with Carvalho by decision

Odds are out and Carvalho actually a -125, -130 favorite In most places.
The way Lyoto talking, he's looking past Carvalho- MISTAKE

Choked Carvalho who fought Manhoef and Mousasi loses against Machida.
Loose Carvalho ko's him.

I loved seeing that but post-TRT, 40-year old Vitor is a shell of a shell of a shell of his old self. Don't confuse him with a fighter in their physical prime.

Machida has been resolved.
You attack him, dodge his deadly counter and land a counter of your own.
But it's easier said than done.

Shogun showed it, and since then the fighters who succeeded in it are: Jones, Weidman, Brunson. Others didn't.

Can Carvalho, theoretically, do it? The answer is yes - he's a KB specialist (sorta).
Will he? Good question

Do you believe in the tooth fairy as well?
Youre a well known Mousasi detractor- stop replying to me Gegard texts.
Right now versus any middleweight in world, at best he'd be a slight underdog....AT BEST. That said, for you to reply in such a way is so ridiculous....I feel bad for you and your acumen attached to sport. You should find a different sport to invest your time in.
Dude- really- just try to ignore me .Im entitled to an opinion and this one happens TO BE FAR from crazy.
I mean ????????
The USA today rankings (a widely recognized ranking system that just doesn't include UFC fighters) has him at #3.

Lol- whats wrong with you?
Lmfao

Probably but he should mix it up, he's way more well rounded than Carvalho.
