Does anyone actually blame Fedor...

nah. he got to crush a bunch of cans and make good money. When he did fight decent comp he lost and still got paid. Everyone should be able to take can fights and get paid.

Fedor is the man!! The #1 P4P Heavyweight in the world at that time refused to sign with the UFC because of the way Dana treated fighters and how the organization owned you the fighter. Dana at that time and even now treats fighters like shit. The UFC back then and now owns you and your likeness to be used in games and whatever else they want to use it in and the fighter gets 0 from any of the profits. You can't fight another fighter in another Org as Randy Couture tried to fight Fedor back in the day. The UFC put a stop to that fight and threatened Couture with a lawsuit if he tried to fight. If Dana would've kept his mouth shut and the UFC allowed fighters to get fights in other Orgs Fedor would've been in the UFC when Pride was bought out.
Only a stupid promoter gives other promotions their talent for free. If you have contracts you should never, ever, ever let someone profit off you for free. Period. Especially if you have pumped money into national and international promotion for some other guy to get buys off your work.

I guess you must be a newcomer to MMA. Bellator, M-1 and just about every MMA Org except the UFC has let their fighters fight in RIZIN. Dream and Strikeforce were doing deals with fighters b4 the UFC bought Strikeforce out. Some Orgs have been doing this for more than a few years. UFC tried it once and Chuck Liddel was raped and demolished by Rampage. Dana left Japan with his tail up his ass and never tried anything like that again.
